Uptight (film)
''Uptight'' (also known as ''Up Tight!'') is a 1968 American drama film directed by Jules Dassin. It was intended as an updated version of John Ford's 1935 film '' The Informer'', based on the book of the same name by Liam O'Flaherty, but the setting was transposed from Dublin to Cleveland. The soundtrack was performed by Booker T. & the MG's. The assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. is used as a backdrop for the film's fictional narrative. Plot In Cleveland, Ohio, at the time of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., protesters riot in the streets. Johnny Wells, a charismatic black revolutionary, leads a group of black men on a mission to steal guns from a warehouse as preparation for violent racial conflict. Johnny's best friend Tank, who formerly worked at the steel mill with several of the men, is supposed to help with the robbery, but when the group goes to his house, they find him drunk and watching the television coverage of King's funeral. ''Uptight'' is an Australian music television series which aired on ATV-0 in Melbourne from 1967 until 1969 on Saturday mornings at 8am to 12pm, it was hosted by singer Ross D. Wyllie.McFarlane (1999). Encyclopedia entry for A compilation album, ''Uptight – Party Time'', by Ross D. Wyllie and the Uptight Party Team, was issued via Calendar/Festival Records in 1968. The third season of American show Disney Channel teen sitcom ''Hannah Montana'' aired from November 2, 2008, until March 14, 2010. Filming for the season started a day after the 2008 Teen Choice Awards on August 5, 2008. The third season of ''Hannah Montana'' focuses on how the characters grow up than the previous seasons. Hannah has grown up into a new look. Different from the previous two seasons, she has shorter hair and an untraditional style which includes a lot of zebra print and unique boots. Oliver and Lilly start dating starting from the episode " What I Don't Like About You". Later, Lilly moves in with the Stewarts. ''Up-Tight'' (shown as ''Up-Tight Everything's Alright'' on the cover) is the fifth album by American singer-songwriter Stevie Wonder, released by Motown on the Tamla label. it was released on May 4, 1966. Production ''Up-Tight'' was recorded at Motown's studio Hitsville U.S.A. in Detroit. It includes two earlier recordings, the 1962 single "Contract on Love" and the un-issued 1964 single "Pretty Little Angel". Also included on the album are "Nothing's Too Good for My Baby", another Wonder co-write, and a remake of folk star Bob Dylan's " Blowin' in the Wind", which made Wonder popular with crossover audiences, and a recording of the standard " Teach Me Tonight", featuring vocals by the Four Tops. "Uptight (Everything's Alright)" is a song recorded by American singer-songwriter Stevie Wonder for the Tamla (Motown) label. One of his most popular early singles, "Uptight (Everything's Alright)" was the first hit single that Wonder himself co-wrote. "Uptight" is a song by English singer-songwriter Shara Nelson, released in January 1994, by Cooltempo Records, as the fourth single from her first solo album, '' What Silence Knows'' (1993).
