Richie Unterberger (born January 19, 1962) is an American author and journalist whose focus is popular music and travel writing. Life and writing Unterberger attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he wrote for the university newspaper '' The Daily Pennsylvanian'' and in the early 1980s was a deejay on the Penn radio station, WXPN-FM. Just prior to graduating in late 1982, he started reviewing records for '' Op'' magazine, which marked the start of his career as a freelance writer. From 1985 to 1991, Unterberger was an editor for ''Option''. Juliane "Julia" Unterberger (born 5 September 1962) is an Italian lawyer and politician from South Tyrol. Biography Unterberger attended the Beda-Weber-Gymnasium in Merano and then studied at the University of Innsbruck. In 1987, she completed her studies in economics with a diploma thesis on economic statistics in South Tyrol, in 1992 successfully completing the law studies offered by the Universities of Innsbruck and Padua with a diploma thesis on the implementation of EC law in Italy. Professionally, she works as a lawyer specializing in family law in South Tyrol. From 1999 to 2008, she was President of the State Advisory Board for Equal Opportunities. Ignaz Unterberger (24 July 1748, Cavalese – 4 December 1797, Vienna) was an Italian and Austrian painter and printmaker, who was also an inventor. He was a member of a large dynasty of Tyrolean artists. Biography Unterberger was probably born on 24 July 1748 in Gaßlöss (now called Cavalese), located in the County of Tyrol, today in Italy. His initial artistic instruction came from his uncle Franz Sebald Unterberger (1706-1776). Unterberger Senior taught his nephew the style of the Tyrol. This was High Baroque - famed for intricate church altarpieces, sculpture and frescoes. Artists working in Vienna and Salzburg found themselves training in Rome, including Ignaz's elder brother. Michelangelo Unterberger, also Michael Angelo Unterberger and Michelangelo Unterperger (11 August 1695, Cavalese - 27 June 1758, Vienna) was a South Tyrolean painter in the Baroque style. Life He was the son of a forest warden. His first studies were with Giuseppe Alberti in Cavalese. He completed his training with a study trip to Venice, where he worked with Nicola Grassi. After that, he moved to Bolzano, where he painted a version of "The Judgment of Solomon" in the town hall and became a citizen in 1726. In the years around 1730, he worked at various monasteries and churches in Passau and the lower Inn valley as an altar painter. His paintings include a "Baptism of Christ" at Vornbach Abbey and two versions of the "Holy Family" at the chapel in Schärding and the parish church in St. Florian am Inn. Christof Unterberger (born October 28, 1970) is an Austrian cellist and film composer. Biography Unterberger was born in Bregenz, Austria. He received his first cello training at the Conservatory of Graz and later at the Higher School of Music in Graz with Prof. H. Posch and Prof. R. Leopold. Following that he took his master's courses under Phillipe Muller und Paul Tortelier. From 1991-1995 he studied at the "Conservatoire national superieur de musique" in Paris with Klaus Heitz, and then again with Phillipe Muller, under whose teaching he completed his concert diploma. He was a soloist and in chamber orchestras both in Austria and abroad. Christopher Unterberger, also Christoph or Cristoforo (27 May 1732 – 25 January 1798) was an Italian painter of the early- Neoclassical period. Biography He was born in Cavalese in County of Tyrol (today located in Trentino, Italy). He was initially taught drawing by an uncle, Franz Sebald Unterberger, and then in the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna, where another uncle, Michelangelo Unterberger, was the co-director from 1751-1758. He then traveled to Venice and Verona, where he studied under Giambettino Cignaroli; and finally in 1758, to Rome. In Rome, he befriended and fell under the influence of Anton Rafael Mengs, and copied the works of Pietro da Cortona, in whose style he produced two altar-pieces of ''St. Jules'' and ''St. Agnes'' for the cathedral of Brixen.
