Uno (2004 Film)
''Uno'' is a 2004 cinema of Norway, Norwegian drama film, directed by Aksel Hennie, who also stars in it. The film was hailed by critics,- and won Hennie an Amanda (award), Amanda Award for Best Director. Plot The film centers around a group of young men who reside in an area of Oslo that is predominantly inhabited by immigrants. Best friends David and Morten work as gym instructors at Jarle's gym. Jarle is a sadistic small-time criminal, who, together with his son Lars, purchases and distributes anabolic steroids. Lars has ties with a notorious criminal Pakistani gang led by Khuram. The climax of the film takes place after Lars, Morten and David are arrested for possession of illegal drugs. David chooses to "snitch" on his friends in order to visit his dying father. The story escalates when Lars uses his influence on the Pakistani gang to retaliate. "Uno" is the series premiere of the television series ''Better Call Saul'', the spinoff series of ''Breaking Bad''. The episode was written by series creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, and directed by Gilligan. In the United States, the episode aired on February 8, 2015 and lasted 50 minutes and 55 seconds, on AMC. Outside of the United States, the episode premiered on streaming service Netflix in several countries. The United Opposition was a political party in the Philippines. It called itself the "Genuine Opposition" coalition throughout the duration of the 2007 midterm elections. History Formation The United Opposition party was created by Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay in June 2005 to unite all politicians who wished to impeach Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo after the revelation of her election cheating scandal. Arroyo stated via her presidential spokesperson that the formation of the party will not be interrupted, as it was a right of the opposition itself. The year of the formation also the year where the Supreme Court dismissed the election protest filed by Fernando Poe Jr.'s wife Susan Roces about the cheating scandal. National Opposition Union (, UNO) was a Nicaraguan wide-range coalition of opposition parties formed to oppose president Daniel Ortega's Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) in the 1990 election. Its candidate Violeta Chamorro eventually won the race. UNO traced its origins back to the Nicaraguan Democratic Coordinating Group ( Coordinadora Democrática Nicaragüense—CDN), which was formed in 1982 by different opposition groups. At the time of the election, of the UNO coalition's fourteen political parties, four were considered conservative, seven could be characterised as centrist parties, and three – including Nicaragua's Communists – had traditionally been on the far left of the political spectrum. The 1966 National Opposition Union ( - UNO) was a Nicaraguan political coalition founded on October 24, 1966, by the Conservative Party (PC), the Social Christian Party (PSC) and the Independent Liberal Party (PLI) to challenge the candidacy of Anastasio Somoza Debayle in the 1967 Nicaraguan general election. The UNO nominated Fernando Agüero as their candidate. On January 22, 1967, UNO staged a massive demonstration in the capital city Managua in support of the candidacy of Agüero. Anastasio Somoza Debayle ordered the National Guard to attack the march and over 500 people were killed in a massacre.
