Élie Thitia Yaffa (; born 9 December 1976), better known under his stage name Booba, is a French rapper. After a brief stint as a break dancer in the early 1990s, Booba partnered with his friend Ali to form Lunatic. The duo released a critically acclaimed album in 2000 but disbanded in 2003. Booba has since embarked on a successful solo career, selling more than 10 million discs over his career and becoming the most downloaded artist (legally) in France. Booba is praised for the quality of his flow and beats but often criticized because of the controversial nature of his lyrics. The Vieilles Charrues Festival (, ; , ; literally: Old Ploughs Festival) is held every year in mid-July in the city of Carhaix, France. History 1990s The first edition takes place in 1992. Laouni Mouhid (, ; born 25 December 1981), commonly known by his stage name La Fouine (; ), with additional aliases such as Fouiny Babe or just Fouiny (), is a French rapper and singer. He is the owner of Banlieue Sale and the clothing line "Street Swagg". Lunatic (band)
Lunatic was a French hip hop duo from Boulogne-Billancourt. The lineup consisted of Booba (from Boulogne-Billancourt) and Ali (from Issy-les-Moulineaux), coming from the department of Hauts-de-Seine in the west suburb of Paris. After Lunatic split up in 2003, both members went on to solo careers. Their release "Le Crime Paie" was produced by DJ Mars.
