Club Sport Unión Huaral, more commonly known as Unión Huaral, is a Peru, Peruvian association football, football club, from the city of Huaral. It was founded in 1947 and currently competes in the Peruvian Tercera División. History The Club Sport Unión Huaral was founded at the initiative of a group of enthusiastic young men who, meeting at the home of Don Nicolás Pintado, decided to form the neighborhood football team under the name of Club Unión, since most of them lived on Unión Street. This team would compete against teams from neighboring haciendas and neighborhoods. In 1974, after defeating 17 Lima teams and defeating Deportivo Sider Perú of Chimbote in a third match on neutral ground, they won the Lima-North regional title and thus achieved their long-awaited promotion to the Peruvian Primera División. Peruvian Tercera División
The Peruvian Third Division, officially known as Liga 3, is the third-highest division in the Peruvian football league system. It is a semi-professional and promotional division organized by the Peruvian Football Federation since 2025. The Liga 3 is contested by 36 teams, with promotion to the Liga 2 and relegation to the Copa Perú. History The idea of a third division was discussed by the Peruvian Football Federation in 2019. 1995 Torneo Descentralizado
The 1995 Torneo Descentralizado was the 80th season of Peruvian football. A total of 16 teams competed in the tournament. The season began on March 4 and concluded on December 27 with the victory of Universitario de Deportes over Alianza Lima for the second berth to the 1996 Copa Libertadores. Sporting Cristal successfully defended its national title after finishing 12 points ahead of Alianza Lima and Universitario.
