Universidad Autónoma De Asunción (fútsal)
UAA is the fútsal club in the sports department at the Universidad Autónoma de Asunción located in Asunción, the capital city of Paraguay and competes in the Asociación Paraguaya de Fútbol's fútsal league. The UAA fields both a Men's and Female's team. The UAA's Men's team has been crowned champion of Paraguay on two occasions, qualifying and participating at the Fútsal Copa Libertadores and defeating traditional teams such as Boca Juniors, River Plate and Peñarol. The UAA Female's team has been crowned champion of Paraguay on various occasions, defeating traditional Paraguayan teams such as Cerro Porteño, Olimpia Asunción and Nacional Asunción. Asunción
Asunción (, ) is the capital and the largest city of Paraguay. The city stands on the eastern bank of the Paraguay River, almost at the confluence of this river with the Pilcomayo River. Club Nacional is a Paraguayan professional association football, football club based in the neighbourhood of Barrio Obrero (Asunción), Obrero in Asunción. Founded in 1904, the club currently plays in the Paraguayan Primera División, and holds its home games at Estadio Arsenio Erico. Deportivo Recoleta, or simply known as Recoleta, is a Paraguayan association football club from the neighbourhood of the same name, in Asunción; founded in 1931. Jorge Rodrigo Barrios (born August 1, 1976) is an Argentine former professional boxer who held the WBO junior lightweight title.
