Unify Gathering
Unify Gathering was an annual Australian music festival held in South Gippsland, Victoria (Australia), Victoria, featuring artists of various genres including Rock Music, rock, Metal (music), metal, and Punk rock, punk. The festival has been discontinued since 2023. History Originally started in 2015 as a two-day music and camping festival, the event expanded to three days in 2017; with attendance increasing from 3,000 in 2015 to 5,000 in 2016, and 7,500 for 2017 and 2018. In 2019, the festival moved to a new location in Tarwin Meadows, a short distance away from the previous site at the Tarwin Lower Recreation Reserve. After being forced to cancel the 2021 instalment due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival returned in 2022 with an all-Australian lineup. Tarwin Lower, Victoria
Tarwin Lower is a small town located south-east of Melbourne, Australia. It rests on the south bank of the Tarwin River and at the , had a population of 115. History The region was originally inhabited by the Tarwin clan of Indigenous Australians. The Tarwin tribe were industrious, and known as "the tomahawk makers". They had quarries for the required hard stone near the present site of Wonthaggi, and also used a softer stone from Cape Liptrap to sharpen the implements. British settlement is believed to have started at an area called Tarwin Meadows. The area south of Tarwin Lower is still called by this name. Tarwin Lower is on the banks of the Tarwin River. The first major land-holder in the area was George Black. Black leased land from the Bass River through to Cape Liptrap. Black bought the Tarwin Meadows Run in 1851. Hellions are an Australian punk rock band from Sydney, formed in 2013 after the break up of The Bride, in which drummer Anthony Caruso, bassist turned vocalist Dre Faivre and guitarist/vocalist Matt Gravolin continued under a different moniker. Hand Of Mercy
Hand Of Mercy were an Australian hardcore band from Sydney, formed in 2007. Formerly signed to the UNFD label. Hand of Mercy released three full-length albums, and two EPs, and toured extensively throughout Australia and internationally. History Hand of Mercy formed when guitarist Adam Mclean and friend drummer Josh Zimmer started playing together. The pair advertised for musicians with similar influences and found guitarist Joshua Campiao. At a Parkway Drive show Josh Zimmer met Scott Bird and invited him to audition as a vocalist. Bird then introduced his friend Adam van den Crust, a bassist. For several years Hand of Mercy played at hardcore venues around Sydney, and appeared at youth centres throughout the state. Confession are an Australian metalcore band from Melbourne. The band was formed in 2008 by frontman Michael Crafter, who is best known as the former lead vocalist of metalcore bands I Killed the Prom Queen, Carpathian and Bury Your Dead. They have released one EP titled '' Can't Live, Can't Breathe'' and three albums: ''Cancer'', '' The Long Way Home'' and ''Life and Death''. Break Even (band)
Break Even was an Australian hardcore punk band from Perth, which formed in 2005. For most of the band's run, the band was composed of Perri Basile on bass guitar, Mark Bawden on lead vocals, Simon Dreja on drums and Steffen Sciuto on guitar. Their debut album, ''The Bright Side'', was released in June 2009 and was dedicated to the band's original guitarist Rowan Willoughby, who died in November 2008. The group split in July 2012 but reconvened in December 2014. The band has been inactive since 2016. Aversions Crown is an Australian deathcore band formed in 2009 in Brisbane, Queensland. Storm the Sky were an Australian rock band formed in Melbourne. History The band was formed in Melbourne in 2011 and consisted of vocalists Daniel Breen and William Jarratt, the guitarists Andy Szetho and Billy Green, as well as bassist Kristian Evangelistis and drummer Alex Trail. Equally influenced by hardcore punk and Hip hop music, hip hop, the band currently consists of vocalist JJ Peters, guitarist Matt Rogers (a.k.a. Real Bad), and drummer Alex Salinger.
