Unifi TV
Unifi TV (formerly known as hyppTV, stylized as Unifi tv prior to January 2018) is an IPTV service operated by Unifi. It was launched in 2010 as part of Unifi's bundled service offering of VoIP telephone, Internet and IPTV. History An early version of Hypp TV, running through TM's Streamyx broadband service in the Klang Valley, launched in September 2004. Hypp TV launched on 22 March 2010, providing about 20 channels and 200 hours of on-demand movies and TV series. On 1 November 2010, Hypp TV began charging RM 10 for its premium channels and video-on-demand from RM 8. In 2010, the Hypp TV service was available to over 16,000 residential customers, rising to 750,000 in 2016. Internet Protocol television (IPTV), also called TV over broadband, is the service delivery of television over Internet Protocol (IP) networks. Usually sold and run by a Telephone company, telecom provider, it consists of broadcast live television that is streamed over the Internet (multicast) — in contrast to delivery through traditional Terrestrial television, terrestrial, Satellite television, satellite, and Cable television, cable transmission formats — as well as video on demand services for watching or replaying content (unicast). VDSL
Very high-speed digital subscriber line (VDSL) and very high-speed digital subscriber line 2 (VDSL2) are digital subscriber line (DSL) technologies providing data transmission faster than the earlier standards of asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) G.992.1, G.992.3 (ADSL2) and G.992.5 (ADSL2+). VDSL offers speeds of up to 52 Mbit/s downstream and 16 Mbit/s upstream, over a single twisted pair of copper wires using the frequency band from 25 kHz to 12 MHz. These rates mean that VDSL is capable of supporting applications such as high-definition television, as well as telephone services (voice over IP) and general Internet access, over a single connection. TV Pendidikan (), also abbreviated as TVP (known as DidikTV KPM under Media Prima) is a Malaysian educational television network owned, produced and operated by the Educational Technology and Resources Division, Ministry of Education. The network airs educational programming for various school subjects. The network's affiliates has been changed several times, beginning with RTM (1972–1999), Astro (2000–2006), and TV9 (2007–2008), prior to 2020 relaunch. In October 2018, the then-Education Minister Maszlee Malik announced that TV Pendidikan would be relaunched after years of long absence. Free-to-air (FTA) services are television (TV) and radio services broadcast in unencrypted form, allowing any person with the appropriate receiving equipment to receive the signal and view or listen to the content without requiring a subscription, other ongoing cost, or one-off fee (e.g., pay-per-view). In the traditional sense, this is carried on terrestrial radio signals and received with an antenna. 4K resolution refers to a horizontal display resolution of approximately 4,000 pixels. Digital television and digital cinematography commonly use several different 4K resolutions.
