Unfrosted
''Unfrosted'' is a 2024 American comedy film directed by Jerry Seinfeld from a screenplay he co-wrote with his writing team of Spike Feresten, Barry Marder, and Andy Robin. Loosely based on the true story of the creation of Pop-Tarts toaster pastries, the film stars an ensemble cast that includes Seinfeld, Melissa McCarthy, Jim Gaffigan, Max Greenfield, Hugh Grant, and Amy Schumer. Seinfeld's feature directorial debut, he and Feresten also serve as producers of the film alongside Beau Bauman, through their production company Columbus 81 Productions. ''Unfrosted'' was released in the United States by Netflix on May 3, 2024, and received mixed reviews from critics. It was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Television Movie but also the 45th Golden Raspberry Awards. Jerome Allen Seinfeld ( ; born April 29, 1954) is an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and producer. As a stand-up comedian, Seinfeld specializes in observational comedy. Seinfeld gained stardom playing a semi-fictionalized version of himself in the NBC sitcom ''Seinfeld'' (1989–1998), which he co-created and wrote with Larry David. Seinfeld earned a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy in 1995. The show is one of the most acclaimed and popular sitcoms of all time. 45th Golden Raspberry Awards
The 45th Golden Raspberry Awards, or the Razzies, honored the worst films released in 2024 in film, 2024 on February 28, 2025. The awards are based on votes from members of the Golden Raspberry Foundation. The nominees were initially set to be announced on January 16, 2025; due to the January 2025 Southern California wildfires, Southern California wildfires, the announcement was delayed to January 18 and again to January 22. However, they were announced a day early on January 21. Winners were announced a day early before the originally scheduled date (March 1) on February 28. Nominees were selected through emailed ballots by 1,202 Razzie members: movie enthusiasts, film critics, and journalists from 49 US States and approximately two dozen foreign countries, who identified the top five contenders in each of the nine categories.
