"Unfair" is a song by South Korean–Chinese boy band Exo, released on December 10, 2015, as a single from their fourth extended play '' Sing for You''. It was released in both Korean and Chinese versions by their label SM Entertainment. Background and release Produced by Beat&Keys, "Unfair" described as a "pop" song with a trendy and bright melody with lyrics about a guy speaking his feelings to the girl he loves and describing her as "unfair". Promotion Exo began performing the song "Unfair" on Korean music shows from December 18. Reception "Unfair" debuted as number ten on Gaon Digital Chart, and at number nine at Billboard's US World Digital songs. ''Sing for You'' is the fourth extended play by South Korean–Chinese boy band Exo. It was released by SM Entertainment in Korean and Chinese versions on December, 10 2015. The album held the record as the fastest selling album in the history of South Korean album sales chart Hanteo, until it was overtaken by Exo's third studio album '' Ex'Act'' in June 2016. It is the first Exo record to not feature Tao, as he filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment and left the group in August 2015. Background and release On November 24, 2015, Exo was confirmed to be releasing their second winter special album, after '' Miracles in December'' (2013). Thomas J. Coyne (December 10, 1954April 12, 2017) was an American mastering engineer. Early life and education Coyne was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and grew up in nearby Union, where he graduated from Roselle Catholic High School in 1972. He attended Kean College where he received a degree in Commercial Design. Career Following college, Coyne's first job was at Dick Charles Recording where Lee Hulko, former owner of Sterling Sound, got his first job in the states after arriving from Thunder Bay, Ontario.
