Rez (song)
"Rez" is a non-album track by British electronic music group Underworld, originally released in 1993 in the UK. It became a popular club hit and live track in Underworld's sets, despite the fact it could not be found on an album. However, it did appear on many compilations, b-sides, and even appeared on a bonus disc for ''Second Toughest in the Infants'' (1996). The first promo release of the single was pressed onto pink vinyl, and is highly collectible as it has an exclusive non-album track, "Why, Why, Why". The song's obscurity led to many bootleg pressings of the song before it was officially re-issued as part of '' 1992–2012 The Anthology''. The more common release has the single "Cowgirl" as its b-side. This version also received a limited white vinyl pressing in the US. Moaner (song)
"Moaner" is a song by Underworld, first appearing in 1997 on the ''Batman & Robin'' soundtrack. It was also commercially released as a single in Germany and Japan, with promo-only releases being made available in the UK and US. Sales of the imported German release were sufficient for a UK Singles Chart entry, peaking at #89. The 7:37 "long version" which omits the beatless ambient techno outro appears as the last track on the group's 1999 album ''Beaucoup Fish'', while the longer 10:17 "album version" appears on other compilation albums. The song's bassline was ranked by ''Stylus Magazine'' at number 27 in their list of the "Top 50 Basslines of All Time". However, the same article mentions lyrics which are in fact the lyrics to the track "Push Upstairs". It might be this track that they are actually referring to.

Pearls Girl
"Pearl's Girl" is the title of several 1996 single releases and a song by Underworld, from their album ''Second Toughest in the Infants''; where the song is titled "Pearls Girl". The single peaked on the UK Singles Chart at number 22. The song title comes from the name of a racing greyhound. "I spent a few nights in Hamburg," recalled Karl Hyde, "and it actually came from a night on the Rioja down by the docks. I'm actually shouting, Rioja, Rioja… I'd come from this really great club on the Reeperbahn, listening to lots of classic soul, which is where the 'Reverend Al Green' bit comes from. I was sitting by the docks and they have these 'bride boats' there, which people get married on. They go down the river and out to sea. I was just sitting there, Rioja-ed out, watching these boats sail past me at three in the morning. There were bonfires and everything." Cowgirl (song)

''Slant Magazine'' ranked the song number 30 in its 100 Greatest Dance Songs list, adding: "The jewel in the Orwellian ''dubnobasswithmyheadman''’s crown was "Cowgirl"—everything, everything Underworld's thundering electronica has come to represent as a musical and political force." Dark & Long
"Dark & Long" is a song by British electronic music group Underworld and the opening track on their third studio album, ''dubnobasswithmyheadman'' (1994). The band released a number of versions of the track, including the "Dark Train" mix, which was later made popular through its inclusion in the 1996 film ''Trainspotting.'' Writing Karl Hyde wrote the lyrics over a long period of time, with some dating to when he was staying in Minneapolis, Minnesota following the breakup of "Underworld Mk 1" in 1990. Portions were also written on a train to Underworld's studio in Romford, Greater London. Hyde stated that his apparent obsession with waitresses, addressed in the lyrics of "Dark & Long", " Confusion the Waitress" and " The Big Meat Show", among others, was because he felt they were "very very important" as they "put you right when you need a place to rest". He also said the section where he comments "what a laugh" was inspired by his fascination with the accent in East London, ...

The album was remastered and re-released in 2017 with deluxe and super-deluxe expanded editions. Overview ''Beaucoup Fish'' was released after the successful single "Born Slippy .NUXX"; a single that began to define Underworld's signature sound of stream of consciousness lyrics, anthemic melodies and driving beats and rhythms.
