Under Siege (2022)
The 2022 Under Siege was a professional wrestling event produced by Impact Wrestling. It took place on May 7, 2022, at Promowest Pavilion at Ovation in Newport, Kentucky, and aired on Impact Plus and YouTube. It was the second event in the Under Siege chronology. The event featured wrestlers from partner promotions New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA). Eleven matches were contested at the event, including two on the pre-show and one taped as a digital exclusive. In the main event, Josh Alexander defeated Tomohiro Ishii to retain the Impact World Championship. In other prominent matches, The Briscoes (Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe) defeated Violent By Design ( Eric Young and Deaner) to win the Impact World Tag Team Championship, and Ace Austin and Tasha Steelz retained the X Division and Knockouts World Championships respectively, with Austin defeating Trey Miguel, and Steelz defeating Havok. Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (abbreviated as TNA Wrestling or TNA) is an American professional wrestling promotion based in Nashville, Tennessee. It is a subsidiary of Anthem Sports & Entertainment, a Canadian media company owned by businessman Leonard Asper. Jamin Dale Pugh (January 25, 1984 – January 17, 2023), known by his ring name Jay Briscoe, was an American professional wrestler.
