''Under Blazing Skies'' or ''Under Blazing Heavens'' (German: ''Unter heißem Himmel'') is a 1936 German adventure film directed by Gustav Ucicky and starring Hans Albers, Lotte Lang and Aribert Wäscher.Kreimeier p.237 It was shot at the Babelsberg Studios in Berlin and on location on the Aegean Sea coast of Greece. The film's sets were designed by the art directors Robert Herlth and Walter Röhrig. It was produced and distributed by UFA, Germany's largest film company. The film was popular enough to be given a second release in West Germany West Germany was the common English name for the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) from its formation on 23 May 1949 until German reunification, its reunification with East Germany on 3 October 1990. Gustav Ucicky
Gustav Ucicky (6 July 1899 – 27 April 1961) was an Austrians, Austrian film director, screenwriter, and cinematographer. He was one of the more successful directors in Austria and Germany from the 1930s through to the early 1960s. Biography

Born in Vienna, Ucicky is often stated to have been the illegitimate son of painter Gustav Klimt for whom his mother Marie Učická from Prague worked and modeled, although this paternity is unconfirmed. He had begun an apprenticeship as a graphic designer, when he entered the film industry at the age of 17.

Reinhold Bernt
Reinhold Bernt (19 December 1902 – 26 October 1981) was a German film actor. Bernt was born Reinhold Bienert in Berlin and died in West Berlin. Career Bernt's acting career began in Stuttgart with a theater debut. Soon after, he traveled to Berlin. There, he founded a troupe known as the "Group of Young Actors" with his brother, Gerhard Bernt. He performed across Berlin and entered the film industry in the 1930s. he was not only an actor, but also an assistant director and screenwriter. He appeared in some Nationalist Socialist propaganda films, such as ''Im Namen des Volkes'' (In the Name of the People). After World War II, he performed at the Schillertheater and in Deutsche Film-Aktiengesellschaft (DEFA). It became harder to obtain large roles, so he began to act increasingly as supporting characters. eventually, he moved on to voicing radio plays, performing a total of 320 roles. Ellen Frank (1904–1999) was a German film actor, film and television actress.Goble p.4 Early life Frank was the daughter of a Prussian government councilor, Georg Frank, and his wife Paula (née Heckmann). She grew up in Cologne, and, from 1911, in Hanover, where she attended a secondary school for girls. She received training at a commercial school and at an engineering firm. Anthony Cedric Sebastian Steane (14 December 1893 – 19 December 1976), known by the stage name Jack Trevor, was a British film actor of the silent and early sound era. Based in Weimar (and later Nazi) Germany, he acted in 67 films between 1922 and 1943. He was later convicted of collaboration for appearing in multiple propaganda films of the Nazi regime, but his sentence was overturned on the basis that he had worked under duress.
