Uncle (2018 Film)
''Uncle'' is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language drama thriller film directed by Girish Damodar and produced by Joy Mathew and Sajai Sebastian under the banner of SJ Films. It stars Mammootty and Karthika Muralidharan in the lead roles, and Joy Mathew and Muthumani in supporting roles. It was released on 27 April 2018 and was an average success at box office. Plot Shruthi, a student at Ooty college, is forced to go back to her home in Kozhikode due to the dangerous strikes at the location. Coincidentally, she meets Krishnakumar (KK) her father's family friend, who offers her a ride back home. She reluctantly accepts this offer, as she has no other safe option. During the 6-hour drive, KK, whom Shruthi affectionately calls "Uncle", and Shruthi listen to music, tell stories, and look at the scenery. Joy Mathew
Joy Mathew (born 20 September 1961) is an Indian film and theatre actor. He is also a film director, playwright and screenwriter. He predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. Career Joy Mathew is best known for playing the lead role in John Abraham's 1986 film '' Amma Ariyan'' which was voted one of the Top 10 Indian films by British Film Institute. In 2012, he made his directorial debut with '' Shutter'' which portrays unexpected incidents happening in two days and a night in the city of Kozhikode. Kalabhavan Haneef (1959 or 1960 – 9 November 2023) was an Indian actor and Impressionist (entertainment), impressionist in Malayalam cinema. Meghanathan
Meghanathan (November 1964 – 21 November 2024) was an Indian actor who appeared in Malayalam and Tamil films. The son of actor Balan K. Nair, he debuted in 1983 in the Malayalam film '' Asthram''. He acted in more than 50 Malayalam films. Biography Meghanathan was born as the third child of Malayalam actor Balan K. Nair and Sarada Nair in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. He had two brothers (Anil and Ajayakumar) and two sisters (Latha and Sujatha). He had his primary education from Asan Memorial Association, Chennai, and completed Diploma in Automobile engineering from Coimbatore. He made his debut through the Malayalam film '' Ashthram'' in 1983. Meghanathan was married to Susmitha. The couple had a daughter, Parvathi. They settled in Shoranur, Palakkad.
