''Un été avec'' () is a French radio programme and book series produced by France Inter since 2012. Broadcast in the summer, it consists of commentaries and reflections about a famous writer or literary work. The material is published as a book the year after the radio broadcast. Series have been made about Michel de Montaigne (2012), Marcel Proust (2013), Charles Baudelaire (2014), Victor Hugo (2015), Niccolò Machiavelli (2016), Homer (2017), Paul Valéry (2018), Blaise Pascal (2019), Arthur Rimbaud (2020), Colette (2021), Vladimir Jankélévitch (2022) and ''Don Quixote'' (2023). France Inter () is a major French public radio channel and part of Radio France. It is a " generalist" station, aiming to provide a wide national audience with a full service of news and spoken-word programming, both serious and entertaining, liberally punctuated with an eclectic mix of music. It is broadcast on FM from a nationwide network of transmitters, as well as via the internet. The channel announced during 2016 that it would discontinue transmissions from the Allouis longwave transmitter on 162 kHz with effect from 1 January 2017, thereby saving approximately €6 million per year. Jules Régis Debray (; born 2 September 1940) is a French philosopher, journalist, former government official and academic. Patrick Boucheron (born 1965) is a French historian. He previously taught medieval history at the École normale supérieure and the University of Paris. He is a professor of history at the Collège de France. He is the author of 12 books and or the editor of 5 books. Guillaume Gallienne (born 8 February 1972) is a French actor, screenwriter and film director. Jean-Yves Tadié (born 7 September 1936) is a French writer, biographer, and academic, noted particularly for his work on Marcel Proust. Biography Tadié studied at the ''École normale supérieure'' in Paris, graduating in 1956. He began to publish his studies on Proust in 1959.
