Un Monde Nouveau
''Un monde nouveau'' is a 1966 French-Italian drama film directed by Vittorio De Sica. Most notably it featured Sean Connery as himself. Harry Saltzman produced the film. Plot A beautiful photographer, Christine Delaroche as Anne, has a love affair with Nino Castelnuovo as Carlo, and becomes pregnant. Carlo wants her to have an abortion and sleeps with a wealthy woman to get money to pay for it, but Ann decides against losing her unborn child. Vittorio De Sica
Vittorio De Sica ( , ; 7 July 1901 – 13 November 1974) was an Italian film director and actor, a leading figure in the neorealist movement. Four of the films he directed won Academy Awards: '' Sciuscià'' and '' Bicycle Thieves'' (honorary), while '' Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow'' and '' Il giardino dei Finzi Contini'' won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Indeed, the great critical success of ''Sciuscià'' (the first foreign film to be so recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences) and ''Bicycle Thieves'' helped establish the permanent Best Foreign Film Award.
