''Umurah Salaam'' is a Maldivian Romance film, romantic drama television series developed for Television Maldives by Fathimath Nahula and Mohamed Faisal (actor), Mohamed Faisal. The series stars Mohamed Faisal (actor), Mohamed Faisal, Aminath Rishfa and Mariyam Azza in pivotal roles. Premise Ashraf (Mohamed Faisal (actor), Mohamed Faisal), an honest businessman, plans to marry Shazly (Mariyam Azza), an orphan, despite his wicked half-sister, Nashidha (Fathimath Mufliha) and equally villainous, step-mother's (Mariyam Haleem) disapproval. Fayaz (Ahmed Azmeel), a carefree young man, married to an elder woman, Nashidha, is involved in an extra-marital affair with a friend of Shazly, Fareesha (Sujeetha Abdulla). Fayaz and Fareesha marry on the same night of Ashraf and Shazly's wedding. The following day Ashraf's father, Saud (Roanu Hassan Manik) is found to be dead lying on bed. Fathimath Nahula (born 22 June 1973) is a Maldivians, Maldivian film director, film producer and screenwriter. Early life In 1991, Nahula joined Jamaluddin school and worked as a teacher for four years. During the time, she spends most of her time in writing and developing stories. She then penned dialogues and stories for several films and television dramas produced by Television Maldives while publishing handful of them on different platforms including newspapers and magazines. Mohamed Faisal (actor)
Mohamed Faisal is a Maldivian film actor, editor and director. Career Faisal made his film debut with the romantic film '' Loaiybahtakaa'' (2009), written and directed by Yoosuf Shafeeu in which he stars as businessman from a wealthy family struggling to express his feelings. The romantic drama, co-starring Sheela Najeeb, Fathimath Fareela and Yoosuf Shafeeu, tells the story of unrequited love, and proved to be a commercial success. His performance in the film garnered him a nomination at 1st Maldives Film Awards ceremony. Aminath Rishfa
Aminath Rishfa is a Maldivian actress. Career Rishfa made her screen debut in a video song, "Heela Beleema" starred opposite Mohamed Manik and produced by Udhares Latheef. After featuring in several short films and series, Rishfa collaborated with Hussain Munawwar for his second direction, revenge thriller film ''Dhilakani'' (2013) along with Ismail Rasheed, Niuma Mohamed, Mohamed Manik and Mohamed Faisal. Mariyam Azza (born 20 April 1989) is a Maldivian film actress. She is the daughter of actress Aminath Rasheedha and younger sister to actress turned director Aishath Rishmy Early life Born in Malé, Azza is the daughter of actress Aminath Rasheedha and the sister of actress Aishath Rishmy. Roanu Hassan Manik
Roanu Hassan Manik is a widely acclaimed Maldivian film actor, who mainly works in the Maldivian film industry. Early life On 11 November 1977, while working as a Headmaster at educational centre, Manik produced, choreographed and starred in a theatre play, ''Vamundhaa Goiyy'' alongside his students which narrates the discrimination of locals moving from atolls to Male'. Mariyam Majudha (born 18 March 1988) is a Maldivian film actress. Career Majudha made her film debut in the Aishath Fuad Thaufeeq-directed ''Hulhudhaan'' as Sama (2014) alongside Roanu Hassan Manik, which was a critical success.
