Chhapra is a city and headquarters of the Saran district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is situated near the junction of the Ghaghara River and the Ganges River. Chhapra grew in importance as a river-based market in the 18th century when the Dutch, French, Portuguese, and English established saltpeter refineries in the area. Bokaro, officially known as Bokaro Steel City () is a planned city in Jharkhand, India. It is fourth largest and most populous city in the state. It is one of the planned cities of India. Bokaro is the administrative headquarters of Bokaro district. Barhi Assembly constituency is an assembly constituency in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Overview Barhi police station in Hazaribagh district and Chauparan police station in Hazaribagh district. Barhi assembly constituency is part of Hazaribagh (Lok Sabha constituency). There are four blocks under the jurisdiction of Barhi Assembly constituency- Barhi, Chauparan, Padma in Hazaribagh district and Chandwara in Koderma district. Two new administrative blocks (Padma and Chandwara) were created during the 1990s when Ram Lakhan Singh was the MLA of the constituency.
