Ultra 85
''Ultra 85'' is the ninth studio album by American rapper and record producer Logic. It was released through BobbyBoy Records, Three Oh One Productions, and BMG Rights Management on August 9, 2024. The album features guest appearances from Adé, DJ Drama, Robert Ivory, Lucy Rose, T Man the Wizard, and Zelooperz. Production was primarily handled by 6ix and Logic himself, alongside Beat Butcha, Cre8, PoST, and Kaelin Ellis, among others. At 77 minutes, it is the longest album in Logic's discography, surpassing '' YSIV'' (2018) by one minute. Background and release The album was initially announced by Logic on May 5, 2017, through a hidden message, which was contained within a booklet included with physical editions of his 2017 album '' Everybody''. The album is intended to be released alongside Logic's science fiction novel of the same name, with the latter released on September 17, 2024. Marcus Lakee Edwards (born March 29, 1976), better known by his stage name Lil' Keke, is an American rapper and original member of the Southern hip hop collective Screwed Up Click. Biography Music career Lil' Keke gained national attention with his track "Southside" from his 1997 release ''Don't Mess Wit Texas''. In 2005, Lil' Keke signed to Swishahouse, Swishahouse Records. Rhodes Piano
The Rhodes piano (also known as the Fender Rhodes piano) is an electric piano invented by Harold Rhodes, which became popular in the 1970s. Like a conventional piano, the Rhodes generates sound with keys and hammers, but instead of strings, the hammers strike thin metal tines, which vibrate next to an electromagnetic pickup. The signal is then sent through a cable to an external keyboard amplifier and speaker. The instrument evolved from Rhodes's attempt to manufacture pianos while teaching recovering soldiers during World War II. Development continued after the war and into the following decade. Melotron
Melotron is a futurepop and synthpop band from Germany. In 1995 Andy Krueger, Edgar Slatnow and Kay Hildebrandt left their former band, The Vermin, to form Melotron. The band found success with their first single, "Dein Meister," in 1998. Their 2007 single "Das Herz" charted at no. 81 in the German mainstream charts. Until 2007, Melotron was a band with mostly German-only lyrics (the chorus of the B-Side "2 Young 2 Die" on their inaugural single release, "Dein Meister", was sung in English amid German verses). However, on their album ''Propaganda'', "Broken" is sung entirely in English. The Friends of Distinction were an American vocal group founded by Harry Elston and Floyd Butler, best known for their 1969 RIAA-certified Gold hits "Grazing in the Grass" and "Going in Circles" and the 1970 hit " Love or Let Me Be Lonely", with all three reaching the Hot 100's top 15. Career The Friends of Distinction formed in 1968 in Los Angeles with original members Floyd Butler (June 5, 1937 – April 29, 1990), Harry Elston (November 4, 1938 – March 4, 2025), Jessica Cleaves (December 10, 1948 – May 2, 2014), and Barbara Jean Love (born July 24, 1941). "Going in Circles" is a song written by Jerry Peters and Anita Poree, and originally performed by The Friends of Distinction on their 1969 album '' Grazin''', reaching number 15 on the U.S. Hot 100, and number three on the R&B chart.
