Ultimae Records is a Lyon-based record label founded by Aes Dana (ambient trance artists), Aes Dana and Sandrine Gryson in 1999. They release and distribute various forms of Ambient music, ambient and trance music. History In 1999, the band Asura prepared their first album'', Code Eternity.'' Several labels showed interest, but none gave the green light and Vincent Villuis, one of the members of the group, decided to set up his own label. Carbon Based Lifeforms
Carbon Based Lifeforms is a Swedish electronic music duo formed in Gothenburg in 1996 by Johannes Hedberg and Daniel Vadestrid (''né'' Ringström and formerly Segerstad). History Formation and early period Hedberg and Ringström (both born in 1976) first met in 1991 when they were 15 years old, after the former was transferred to the same class as Ringström. They became friends, and shared similar tastes in music, films, and video games. They started collaborating on the music tracker sequencer software Protracker and later, the Amiga computer system. In 1994, they started to work with PCs and formed a music tracker trio with fellow Swedish musician and producer Mikael Lindqvist called Bassment Studios. In the following year, they moved once more to MIDI-oriented music and formed Notch, a group focusing on acid house, acid, techno, and house music. Magnus Birgersson, better known by his stage name Solar Fields, is a Swedish electronic music artist. As of 2014, he has released fifteen albums, and has also scored all interactive in-game music for the Electronic Arts game ''Mirror's Edge'' as well as its reboot, ''Mirror's Edge Catalyst''. His latest album, ''Formations'', was released in November 2022. Fingers in the Noise is the alias of French electronic musician Laurent Bisch. Born in 1966, Bisch started producing music in the late 1980s, after taking several piano lessons. His musical genres include dub, ambient, and experimental music. Bisch is married, and has three children. Early life Laurent Bisch was born in France on 28 January 1966. During the late 1980s, Bisch took several piano lessons, which inspired him to start creating his own music. Music Bisch developed a passion for deep dub and ambient music. He would also frequently spend his time at all-night parties. In 1990 he bought his first synthesizer, a Korg 01/WFD. It was a "workstation that introduced imto the creation of synthetic sounds". Vibrasphere was a progressive trance music duo from Uppsala, Sweden and Brussels, Belgium. Its founding members were Rickard Berglöf, Robert Elster and Pierre Baekelmans. With a discography spanning over 40 years, he has been called a figure whose sound has greatly influenced today's ambient music, New-age music, and even intelligent dance music, IDM. Biography 1980s: Sleep concerts and Early Career When Rich was a freshman at Stanford University in the 1980s, he gave free sleep concerts from the lounge of his dormitory. After positive results, he began performing around the San Francisco Bay Area. These performances were experiments to influence Rapid eye movement sleep, REM cycle sleep with auditory stimulus.
