Ulrich Moroder
Ulrich Moroder (born October 4, 1948, in Ortisei in Val Gardena) is an Italian artist from South Tyrol. Biography In 1974 Moroder received training at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna (O. Oberhuber, A. Frohner). In 1976 he went to Provence. In 1978 he attended the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere in Paris. From 1980 to 1987 he had several study visits to New York and Los Angeles and from 1988 to 1993 in Rome. He is a brother of Giorgio Moroder. Ulrich worked during his vocational apprenticeship and trained as a barrel painter in Ortisei. Moroder played ice hockey from 1968 to 1969 for the team HC Gherdëina, participating and winning the Serie A tournament. He currently lives and works in Vienna and Ortisei. Innsbruck
Innsbruck (; bar, Innschbruck, label=Austro-Bavarian ) is the capital of Tyrol and the fifth-largest city in Austria. Moroder is a germanised version of the Ladin surname Mureda. Moroder ( oˈrodɐr is a surname from Val Gardena (province of Bolzano), present almost exclusively in Ortisei. The migrations, which began as early as the eighteenth century, within a vast network of trade operated by the inhabitants of Val Gardena, have also distributed the surname elsewhere in Italy (Bolzano, Ancona, Pordenone) and abroad in Valencia and Lyon, and subsequently in Austria, Germany, Santiago de Chile, and the United States. Ladin People
The Ladins are an ethnic group in northern Italy. They are distributed in several valleys, collectively known as Ladinia. These include the valleys of Badia and Gherdëina in South Tyrol, of Fassa in the Trentino, and Livinallongo (also known as Buchenstein or Fodom) and Ampezzo in the Province of Belluno. Their native language is Ladin, a Rhaeto-Romance language related to the Swiss Romansh and Friulian languages. They are part of Tyrol, with which they share culture, history, traditions, environment, and architecture. Ladins developed a national ethnic identity in the 19th century. Micurà de Rü undertook the first attempt to develop a written form of the Ladin language. Ferdinandeum
The Tyrolean State Museum (german: Tiroler Landesmuseum), also known as the Ferdinandeum after Archduke Ferdinand, is located in Innsbruck, Austria. It was founded in 1823 by the Tyrolean State Museum Ferdinandeum Society (''Verein Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum''). Since 2007 it has been a major division of the Tyrolean State Museums Operating Company (''Tiroler Landesmuseen-Betriebsgesellschaft''), which has taken over the running of the business.
