Ulrich Mathiot
Ulric Mathiot is a Seychelles, Seychellois professional association footballer, football player and association football manager, manager. Career Ulric Mathiot represented the Seychelles national football team as a player at the Football at the 1990 Indian Ocean Island Games, Indian Ocean Island Games 1990 when the team won the bronze medal. He went on to coach the Seychelles national football team, national team in 1991 and 2008. He has been the national Technical director of the Seychelles since 2010 and also coached other coaches in his capacity as a FIFA and CAF instructor. In April 2014, following the resignation of Jan Mak in 2013, he once again became coach of the national team. The Seychelles national football team, nicknamed ''The Pirates'', represents Seychelles in international football and is controlled by the Seychelles Football Federation (SFF). Jan Mak (born 21 June 1945) is a Dutch professional football manager. Career He was caretaker at amateur side HVV Den Haag in 1971. After managing FC Volendam in his native Netherlands, Mak took charge of Swedish sides Halmstads BK between 1981 and 1984, IS Halmia, IK Brage and IF Elfsborg between 1988 and 1990. The Indian Ocean Island Games (french: Jeux des îles de l'océan Indien) is a quadrennial multi-sport event from Indian Ocean island nations. The Games was created by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 1977 and currently gather the island nations and territories of Mauritius, Seychelles, Comoros, Madagascar, Mayotte, Réunion and the Maldives. The number of athletes who participate has increased over the years, it went from 1000 athletes in 1979 to over 1500 participants in 2003 and 2007 and over 2000 participants in 2019.
