Gerald Ullrich (born 23 December 23 1962 in Schmalkalden) is a German electronics engineer and politician of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) who has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2017. Early life and career Ullrich obtained an intermediate school-leaving certificate at a polytechnic school in 1979. Then he trained as an electrician for three years, before he studied at Hermsdorf Technical College for Electrical Engineering and Ceramics from 1983 to 1986. After he completed the 18 months of compulsory military service in the National People's Army of the German Democratic Republic he worked for one year as an engineer and from 1989 to 1990 as a project manager of a large-scale project. Hermann Ulrici (; 23 March 180611 January 1884) was a German philosopher. He was co-editor (with I. H. Fichte) of the philosophical journal ''Zeitschrift für Philosophie und philosophische Kritik''. He also wrote under the pseudonym of Ulrich Reimann. Life Ulrici was born at Pförten, in the Niederlausitz region of the Margraviate of Brandenburg. He was educated at the in Berlin. Volker Ullrich (born 14 October 1975) is a German politician of the Christian Social Union (CSU) who has been serving as a member of the Bundestag from the state of Bavaria since 2013. Political career Ullrich first became a member of the Bundestag after the 2013 German federal election, elected in Augsburg City. Jan Ullrich (; born 2 December 1973) is a German former professional road bicycle racer. Ullrich won gold and silver medals in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. Franz Ullrich (1830–1891) was a German industrialist, and co-founder of the "Gebrüder Ullrich" in the Rhineland-Palatinate. Life Franz Ullrich was born on the 22 July 1830 in the small town of Maikammer, Germany. He was the youngest son of an international merchant, Leonhard Ullrich, and his wife Regina Damm. After studying banking in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse for four years, he founded a company with his older brother, Anton Ullrich, Anton, called the "Gebrüder Ullrich".
