Ulises Francisco Espaillat Quiñones (February 9, 1823 – April 25, 1878) was a 19th-century Dominican Republic liberal statesman and author. He served as president of the Dominican Republic from April 29, 1876, to October 5, 1876. Espaillat Province is named after him. Ulises Hernán de la Cruz Bernardo (born 8 February 1974) is an Ecuadorian retired footballer, who since 2013 has been a member of his country's National Assembly for the governing Mover. A defender, he played 101 times for the Ecuador national team between 1995 and 2010, and was selected for two FIFA World Cup tournaments. Ulises Ernesto Ruiz Ortiz (born April 9, 1958) is a Mexican politician and former governor of the State of Oaxaca. He took office in 2004 as a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). Early career In the 1997 mid-term election he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies to represent the sixth district of Oaxaca. Ulises Estrella Moya (4 July 1939 – 27 December 2014) was an Ecuadorian poet and the co-founder of Tzantzismo, a literary movement of the 1960s, Ecuador. He was also a devoted film researcher and programmer, who headed the film cinematheque of the House of Ecuadorian Culture for over 30 years. Ulises Hilarión Heureaux Leibert (; October 21, 1845 – July 26, 1899) nicknamed Lilís, was Presidents of the Dominican Republic, president of the Dominican Republic from September 1, 1882 to September 1, 1884, from January 6, 1887 to February 27, 1889 and again from April 30, 1889 maintaining power between his terms. Heureaux ruled the Dominican Republic as a Caudillo, dictator. Fabián Ulises Ramos Espínola (4 November 1919 – 13 August 2002) was a Chilean footballer and manager. Club career Ramos was born in Tocopilla in 1919 to a middle-class family. Ten years later, he alongside his family moved to the capital Santiago. He attended Instituto Nacional and once graduated of there, he entered to study dentistry at University of Chile in 1937.
