Ulf Malmros
Ulf Peter Vilhelm Malmros (born 16 March 1965) is a Swedish screenwriter and film director. Career Aged 13 Malmros started making home movies. Later he moved to Stockholm and studied at Dramatiska Institutet. In 2006 Malmros received the Guldbagge Award for "best directing" with '' Tjenare Kungen''. In 2010 he received a "Guldbagge" for the "best manuscript" which was the manuscript of his 2009 film ''Bröllopsfotografen''. In 2010 Malmros hosted the Sveriges Radio program '' Sommar''. Style and trademarks Many of Malmros' films refer to his birth province Värmland. He also frequently casts the same actors including Kjell Bergqvist, Tuva Novotny and Björn Starrin. Tuva Matilda Moa Karolina Novotny (née Hedström; born 21 December 1979), also known as Tuva Novotny-Hedström, is a Swedish actress and director. Early life and education Tuva Matilda Moa Karolina Hedström was born on 21 December 1979 in Stockholm, the daughter of actress and sculptor , and Czech film director and academic David Novotny. She grew up near Arvika in Värmland County, Sweden, where she trained in classical ballet and participated in local youth bands. After moving to Stockholm, she took part in various activities at Vår teater, a children's theatre, and attended St Erik's High School, where she studied theatre. She moved to Czech Republic to study at a drama school there, but this was interrupted. ''Slim Susie'' () is a 2003 Swedish comedy-crime film. It was directed by Ulf Malmros and written by Malmros and Petteri Nuottimäki. It is considered Ulf Malmros's most popular film. Plot The film is set in a small industrial town in Värmland, where a young man returns to his hometown from Stockholm to investigate the sudden disappearance of his sister.
