Uday Shehab
Uday Shehab Ahmad (; born 14 June 1997) is an Iraqi footballer who plays as a defender for Al-Shorta in the Iraqi Premier League. Club career Shehab started his career with Al-Mosul in the 2011–12 Iraqi Elite League, scoring his first goal as a 15-year old against Samaraa on 29 July 2012. After footballing activity in Mosul stopped due to ISIS, Shehab moved to Karah to compete in the Kurdistan League. He joined Ghaz Al-Shamal in 2016 to compete in the 2015–16 Iraqi First Division League Elite Stage, however after playing in a match against Brayati his transfer to Ghaz Al-Shamal was deemed illegitimate due to the transfer window having ended and therefore Ghaz Al-Shamal were awarded a 3–0 loss for the match and Shehab was not allowed to play for them anymore. The 2016–17 Iraqi Premier League () was the 43rd season of the Iraqi Premier League, the highest division for Iraqi association football clubs, since its establishment in 1974. The season started on 15 September 2016, and ended on 10 August 2017. Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya won their sixth Premier League title, finishing four points ahead of second-placed Al-Naft and losing just one game throughout the campaign. It was the club's first league title since the 2004–05 season, and their manager Basim Qasim became the first manager to win titles in two consecutive seasons with two different teams. The 2015–16 Iraqi First Division League. Al-Hussein ended as champions of the division for the first time in their history, and Al-Bahri were runners-up on the goals scored rule. Both teams were promoted to the 2016–17 Iraqi Premier League. Format League consists of four different stages. The first stage ended in April and the second stage ended in May; both of these rounds consisted of multiple group stages that were based on geographical position. 12 teams qualified for the Elite Stage.
