Early life Ubaida was born in 1944 in Karachi, Pakistan. Career In 1960 she started working at Radio Pakistan in Lahore. She was noted for her high pitch voice. She was noted for her work in drama '' Zeenat'', ''Khala Kulsoom Ka Kumba'' and ''Tum Hi To Ho''. She also appeared in dramas ''Saagar Ka Ansoo'', ''Stolen'' and ''Mera Muqaddam Tum Lado Gay''. In 1998 she appeared in movie Jinnah. She also appeared in the drama ''Yeh Zindagi Hai'' and '' Yeh Zindagi Hai Season 2'' as Kulsoom which was the longest-running television series. Its test transmission started on 14 August 2002 on the PAS 10 digital satellite whereas on 1 October 2002 the regular transmission of Geo Entertainment was started. History GEO has been one of the oldest Pakistani networks, and regularly has received good TRPs on various daily soaps, reality series, and drama serials since inception. Geo Television Network is a television channel based in Pakistan. It was established in May 2002 and is owned by the Jang Media Group. The channel began its test transmission on 14 August 2002, with regular transmission beginning on 1 October 2002. History Geo Network was founded in May 2002 by Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman. It started out with the launch of its flagship channel Geo News in October 2002. Hamid Mir joined the channel and became one of the first journalists to join Geo News. He started hosting the political talk show Capital Talk which is the flagship show of Geo News. The first guest at the show was Makhdoom Ameen Faheem with whom Mir discussed the 2002 Pakistan general election.
