UNILA
The Federal University for Latin American Integration ( pt, Universidade Federal da Integração Latino-americana, UNILA) is a public university located in the Brazilian city of Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná (state), Paraná, at the tri-national border shared by Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. UNILA emphasises natural resources, social studies and language, international relations and areas considered important for development and regional integration. UNILA is a bilingual university, where Portuguese language, Portuguese and Spanish language, Spanish are used. The University for International Integration of the Afro-Brazilian Lusophony ( pt, Universidade da Integração Internacional da Lusofonia Afro-Brasileira, UNILAB) is a public federal university located in Redenção, Ceará, Brazil. The city was chosen because it was the first Brazilian city to abolish slavery. The major courses offered are preferentially the ones included in the mutual interest of all countries in the Community of Portuguese Language Countries. They are: Brazil, Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Sao Tome and Principe, Mozambique, Portugal and East Timor. Foz do Iguaçu (''Iguazu River Mouth'') () is the Brazilian city on the border of Iguaçu Falls. The city is the 7th largest in the state of Paraná. The city's population is approximately 258,000.
