Abdul Somad
Abdul Somad Batubara (born 18 May 1977) is an Indonesian Islamic preacher, scholar and motivator from Asahan, North Sumatra. He served as a lecturer at the Sultan Syarif Kasim II State Islamic University (UIN Suska) in Riau. In addition to his lectures, he has authored books, including translations of Arabic publications, and religious guides on subjects such as Qurbani and Salah. Somad's often controversial views has resulted in him being considered ''persona non grata'' in various countries, and he along with his supporters has been accused of being engaged with Islamic extremism. The United Arab States (UAS, ) was a short-lived confederation between the United Arab Republic and the Kingdom of Yemen from 1958 to 1961. The United Arab Republic was a sovereign state formed by the union of Republic of Egypt (1953–1958), Egypt and Second Syrian Republic, Syria in 1958. University Air Squadrons (UAS), are Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve units under the command of No. 6 Flying Training School RAF. That offers training and flight training to university students, with the goal of attracting students into a career as an RAF officer after university. Primarily its goal is achieved through delivery of this training as well as force development, adventure training and leadership development to its members. These provide a taste of life in the service and to give experience to their members in preparation for taking up a career as an officer in one of the RAF's many branches. The Undergraduate Ambassadors Scheme (UAS) is a program in the United Kingdom devised to encourage students enrolled in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) programs to enter teaching by awarding them with degree course credits.
