UAE Challenge
The UAE Challenge is a golf tournament on the Challenge Tour, Europe's second tier men's professional golf tour, held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. First played in 2023, the event was held at the Gary Player-designed Saadiyat Beach Golf Club. It is played back-to-back with the Abu Dhabi Challenge, with 30 spots allocated to the Emirates Golf Federation for each event. In 2024, through winning the Al Hamra Men's Amateur Open, 17 year-old amateur Oscar Craig received a spot and made the cut with stepfather Tommy Fleetwood Thomas Paul Fleetwood (born 19 January 1991) is an English professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour and European Tour. Ajman
Ajman ( '; Gulf Arabic: عيمان ''ʿYmān'') is the capital of the emirate of Ajman in the United Arab Emirates. Thomas Paul Fleetwood (born 19 January 1991) is an English professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour and European Tour. He has won seven times on the European Tour. He also won a silver medal for Great Britain, at the Golf at the 2024 Summer Olympics – Men's individual, 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France. Golf is a club-and-ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit a ball into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. Ugo Coussaud (born 10 October 1992) is a French professional golfer and European Tour player. He was runner-up at the 2024 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters. Amateur career Coussaud enjoyed international success as an amateur. He won the 2013 Canadian University & College Championship, and the 2015 the South African Stroke Play Championship. Maximilian Rottluff (born 29 January 1993) is a German professional golfer and European Tour player. He graduated from the Challenge Tour where he won two events. Amateur career Rottluff became a member of the German National Team in late 2009. He lost the final of the 2010 Boys Amateur Championship, 4 and 3, to Adrián Otaegui. In 2011, he won the German Team Championship and represented Europe at the Jacques Léglise Trophy. The Challenge Tour, currently titled as the HotelPlanner Tour for sponsorship reasons and also sometimes referred to as the European Challenge Tour, is the second-tier men's professional golf tour in Europe. It is operated by the PGA European Tour and similarly with the main European Tour and the European Senior Tour, some of the events are played outside Europe. History The tour was introduced in 1986, when the national tours of Sweden, France and Italy became open to foreign players, and was initially called the Satellite Tour.
