UAAP Season 73 Men's Basketball Tournament
The UAAP Season 73 men's basketball tournament is the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP)'s men's basketball tournament for the 2010–11 season. The Ateneo Blue Eagles won against the FEU Tamaraws in the finals, winning in two games. Ateneo blew out FEU in the first game, and hanged on in the second game to clinch their third consecutive title. Ryan Buenafe, who scored a crucial three-point shot late in Game 2, was named Finals MVP. In the semifinals, FEU defeated the De La Salle Green Archers in overtime on their semifinal match-up, while Ateneo blew out the Adamson Falcons in the other semifinal. The UP Fighting Maroons finished the season with no victories for the second time in four years; their coach Aboy Castro went on leave after incurring their second consecutive loss, and new coach Boyet Fernandez led the team to twelve more defeats to end the season with a 0–14 record. De La Salle University (), also referred to as DLSU, De La Salle or La Salle, is a private, Catholic coeducational research university run by the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools with main campus in Taft Avenue, Malate, Manila, Philippines. UP Fighting Maroons
The UP Fighting Maroons are the collegiate varsity teams of the University of the Philippines Diliman. The teams play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the Philippines' premier college sports league. UP is one of four member-universities that participate in all 15 sporting events of the league. History UP was one of the founding members of the UAAP in 1938. Lawrence Chongson (September 23, 1963 – December 26, 2021) was a Filipino basketball coach. Career Tanduay, MBA, PBL Chongson served as an assistant coach to Alfrancis Chua at Tanduay Rhum Masters in the PBA. Manolito "Eric" Gonzales Jr. (born September 3, 1972) is a Filipino professional basketball coach, currently with the Quezon Huskers in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) and the Pilipinas Super League (PSL). Glenn Capacio (born May 15, 1964, in Palo, Leyte) is a Filipino retired professional basketball player in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) and the former head coach of PBA team GlobalPort Batang Pier and was also the former head coach of the FEU Tamaraws from UAAP Season 70, 2007 to UAAP Season 73, 2010. Dindo Pumaren
Ferdinand "Dindo" Pumaren, is a retired Filipino professional basketball player and former collegiate coach. In his professional playing career, he was nicknamed "The Bullet" due to his great passing and stealing. Early career Pumaren suited up for San Beda in high school, teaming up with fellow future pros Magsanoc, Altamirano, Paras, Gerry Esplana and Macky de Joya in a formidable squad that won the NCAA and the national secondary crowns in the early 80s.
