U137 is a cinematic post-rock duo from Borås, Sweden, consisting of musicians Adam Törnblad and Oscar Gullbrandsen. Both artists were part of another post-rock band called Moonlit Sailor, signed to indie label Deep Elm Records Deep Elm Records is an independent record label releasing albums by bands such as Lights & Motion, The Appleseed Cast, Brandtson, The White Octave, and Planes Mistaken for Stars. Borås ( , , ) is a city (officially, a locality) and the seat of Borås Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 114,556 inhabitants in 2024. It is widely known for being a textile city, home to worldwide brands and companies as well as the prestigious Swedish School of Textiles, which is part of the University of Borås. Deep Elm Records is an independent record label releasing albums by bands such as Lights & Motion, The Appleseed Cast, Brandtson, The White Octave, and Planes Mistaken for Stars. It also released the compilation series ''The Emo Diaries''. History Deep Elm Records started in New York City by John Szuch. Deep Elm's first release was the single "Anthemic Tune" by Curdlefur in 1995. Its first album was by Camber (band), Camber in March 1997. In 2006 Deep Elm Records signed its first UK act, Free Diamonds. By 2008, Deep Elm stopped pressing physical CDs and Phonograph record, vinyl, effectively becoming a Digital audio, digital only label. Moonlit Sailor
Moonlit Sailor is a post-rock band from Borås, Sweden, formed in 2006. The group consisted of Joakim Wiik (keyboards/guitar), Oscar Gullbrandsen (guitar), Adam Törnblad (drums/guitar/piano), and Markus Rundlöf (bass). In 2008, the band released their debut EP ''A Footprint of Feelings'' through the independent record label Deep Elm Records. The following year they released a full-length album, ''So Close to Life,'' and in 2010 they embarked on a small European tour that included stops in Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, and Finland. The band released a second album in 2011, ''Colors in Stereo'', also through Deep Elm Records. On May 8, 2017, Törnblad died at the age of 27. Adam Törnblad
Adam is the name given in Genesis 1–5 to the first human. Adam is the first human-being aware of God, and features as such in various belief systems (including Judaism, Christianity, Gnosticism and Islam). Post-rock is a subgenre of experimental rock that emphasizes Texture (music), texture, atmosphere, and non-traditional song structures over conventional rock techniques.
