Roland U-20
The Roland U-20 is a PCM-sample synthesizer, released by Roland in 1989.It was the keyboard version of the U-220 rack module, which was in turn a similar follow-up product to Roland's U-110 rack module of 1988. The U-20 is described by Roland as a 'RS-PCM keyboard', where RS stands for ReSynthesized because the sound-engine can play back a modified version of stored PCM samples. Overview The synthesizer engine itself merely plays back stored PCM samples. Although the U-20 did contain synthesizer parameters like envelopes to control amplitude and pitch, it is not a subtractive synthesizer because it did not include any filter capability. Nevertheless, sample playback can be slightly customized via editing its ADSR envelope and applying DSP effects, like reverb or chorus. A drawback is the absence of filters. The U-20 has standard 64 patches, and can be doubled with an optional RAM-card (the M-256E). There are also two extra slots for ROM PCM-cards to expand the number of availabl ... Great Truncated Cuboctahedron
In geometry, the great truncated cuboctahedron (or quasitruncated cuboctahedron or stellatruncated cuboctahedron) is a nonconvex uniform polyhedron, indexed as U20. It has 26 faces (12 squares, 8 hexagons and 6 octagrams), 72 edges, and 48 vertices. It is represented by the Schläfli symbol tr, and Coxeter-Dynkin diagram . It is sometimes called the quasitruncated cuboctahedron because it is related to the truncated cuboctahedron, , except that the octagonal faces are replaced by octagrams. Convex hull Its convex hull is a nonuniform truncated cuboctahedron. The truncated cuboctahedron and the great truncated cuboctahedron form isomorphic graphs despite their different geometric structure. Orthographic projections Cartesian coordinates Cartesian coordinates for the vertices of a great truncated cuboctahedron centered at the origin are all permutations of \Bigl( \pm 1, \ \pm\left -\sqrt 2 \right \ \pm\left -2\sqrt 2\rightBigr). Meizu U20
The Meizu U20 is a smartphone designed and produced by the China, Chinese manufacturer Meizu, which runs on Flyme OS, Meizu's modified Android (operating system), Android operating system. It was introduced together with the Meizu U10 as part of the new U series of Meizu on August 24, 2016. Release There was little information known to the public before the launch of the device on August 24, 2016. Unlike previous Meizu devices, the U series was silently launched through the official Meizu website without an actual launch event. Features Flyme The Meizu U20 was released with an updated version of Flyme OS, a modified operating system based on Android Marshmallow. It features an alternative, flat design and improved one-handed usability. Hardware and design The Meizu U20 features a MediaTek#Octa- and deca-core, MediaTek Helio P10 system-on-a-chip with an array of eight ARM architecture, ARM Cortex-A53 Central processing unit, CPU cores, an ARM Mali, Mali-T860 MP2 ... Small Nucleolar RNA SNORD20
In molecular biology, snoRNA U20 (also known as SNORD20) is a non-coding RNA (ncRNA) molecule which functions in the modification of other small nuclear RNAs (snRNAs). This type of modifying RNA is usually located in the nucleolus of the eukaryotic cell which is a major site of snRNA biogenesis. It is known as a small nucleolar RNA (snoRNA) and also often referred to as a guide RNA. snoRNA U20 belongs to the C/D box class of snoRNAs which contain the conserved sequence motifs known as the C box (UGAUGA) and the D box (CUGA). Most of the members of the box C/D family function in directing site-specific 2'-O-methylation of substrate RNAs. U20 is encoded in intron 11 of the nucleolin gene in human, mouse and rat. It is predicted to guide the 2'O-ribose methylation of 18S ribosomal RNA Ribosomal ribonucleic acid (rRNA) is a type of non-coding RNA which is the primary component of ribosomes, essential to all cells. rRNA is a ribozyme which carries out protein synthesis in riboso ...
