''Türkstar'' was a 2004 Turkish reality television singing competition show based on the popular British show ''Pop Idol''. It was hosted by Seray Sever, Gamze Özçelik and Haldun Dormen. It had extremely low ratings and only lasted one season. ''Türkstar'' is notable for being the only ''Idol'' franchise to have featured a singing duo (Meltem Denizci and Emrah Gökelma). ''Idol'' (also known as ''SuperStar'' in some countries) is a reality television singing competition format created by British television producer Simon Fuller and developed by Fremantle. The format began in 2001 with the British television series ''Pop Idol''; its first adaptation was the South African series '' Idols'' in 2002. Gamze Özçelik
Gamze Özçelik (born 26 August 1982) is a Turkish actress, model and TV hostess. She is best known for hit crime series ''Arka Sokaklar'' which also starred her former husband Uğur Pektaş. ''Arka Sokaklar'' is known for being the longest running Turkish series. She played in series ''Serseri'' with Okan Yalabık. Her other popular series are series ''Tatlı Hayat'' (Turkish remake of ''The Jeffersons''), ''Canan'' and historical series ''Mehmetçik Kut'ül Amare''. Biography Her maternal is of Turkish origin who immigrated from Thessaloniki, Ottoman Empire (now in Greece). Simon Robert Fuller (born 17 May 1960) is a British entrepreneur, artist manager, and film and television producer. He is the creator of the Idols (franchise), ''Idols'' TV format, including the British series ''Pop Idol'' and the American series ''American Idol''. 2004 Turkish Television Series Endings
4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Evolution of the Hindu-Arabic digit Brahmic numerals represented 1, 2, and 3 with as many lines. 4 was simplified by joining its four lines into a cross that looks like the modern plus sign. The Shunga would add a horizontal line on top of the digit, and the Kshatrapa and Pallava evolved the digit to a point where the speed of writing was a secondary concern. ''Deutschland sucht den Superstar'' (''DSDS''; "Germany is looking for the Superstar") is a German reality talent show. Part of the ''Idol'' franchise, it was created by British media mogul Simon Fuller as a spin-off from the British show ''Pop Idol'', of which two series were broadcast between the years of 2001 and 2003. Debuting to mediocre ratings in November 2002 on the RTL network, the show has since become one of the most successful shows on German television. Armağan Ali Çağlayan (born 8 April 1966) is a Turkish television producer and lawyer. Career Çağlayan taught Creativity in Communication as a research assistant at the Faculty of Art and Design at Istanbul Kültür University and lectured at the Public Relations and Advertising and Visual Communication departments at Beykent University.
