Tältprojektet
''Tältprojektet'' – ''The Tent Project'' ( Sweden, 1977) was a musical theater performance on the history of the Swedish working class, which toured the country the summer of 1977 in a huge circus tent. The group included over 100 people, musicians, actors, and members of some of the biggest progg bands of Sweden at the time, most notable Nationalteatern. The Tent Project was a radical, leftist political movement, but it included different political groups from anarchists to different types of communists and socialists. The story of the approximately four-hour play was on the history of the Swedish working class movement from 1879 to the present (1977), and the cast of characters included August Palm, Kata Dalström, Hjalmar Branting and Zeth Höglund. The central story telling character was ''the beggar'', played by Totta Näslund. Another major role was played by Sven Wollter who, as ''the clown'', was sort of the host of the show. Ulf Dageby
Ulf Thorbjörn Dageby (born 10 May 1944) is a Swedish rock musician, singer and songwriter. Dageby is mostly known for his role in the leftist "rock orchestra" and theater ensemble Nationalteatern. At the 18th Guldbagge Awards he won the Special Achievement award. Biography He was born and grew up in Gothenburg, attended secondary school at Hvitfeldtska and early on his interest in music grew from jazz music, through Bob Dylan to a more rock’n’roll oriented sound. Sven Wollter
Sven Justus Fredrik Wollter (11 January 1934 – 10 November 2020) was a Swedish actor, writer, and political activist. Wollter is one of the most renowned Swedish actors, he was awarded Best Swedish actor twice. In his native country, he became widely known through his role as Madame Flod's son Gusten in Swedish Television's adaption of ''The People of Hemsö'' by August Strindberg in 1966. Later he had several notable roles, including in 1976 when he played Detective Sergeant Lennart Kollberg in Bo Widerberg's film ''The Man on the Roof''. Henric Holmberg
Sven Martin Henric Holmberg (born 4 January 1946) is a Swedish actor, director and scriptwriter. Biography Holmberg started acting in different leftist theater groups, and in 1977 he participated in the Tent Project, a musical theater performance on the history of the Swedish working class movement, in which he had played the role of the Swedish Communist leader Zeth Höglund. Totta Näslund
Erik Torsten "Totta" Näslund (1 April 1945 – 19 June 2005) was a Swedish blues musician and actor. Biography Näslund was born in Sandviken and grew up in the small northern town Köpmanholmen, but moved to Gothenburg in 1970 to find work. He was working in the Gothenburg docks when he joined Nynningen, a rock group with leftist political texts and inspired by the Russian Communist poet Mayakovsky. Totta Näslund became the group's main singer. In the mid-1970s, Nynningen fused with Nationalteatern, a musical theater ensemble with many members. Totta Näslund joined the group as singer, guitar-player and actor. Nationalteatern developed away from the theater and became a straight rock group, a ''rock orchestra'' as they called themselves. Nikke Ström
Nikke Ström (born 8 June 1951) is a Swedish rock musician, mostly known as the bass player in Nationalteatern. Ström was born and raised in Karlskoga, where he played in different bands. In the beginning of 1970 he studied philosophy at Stockholm University. He had become politically active in the leftist movement against the Vietnam War, and he was chairman of the FNL group in his hometown Karlskoga. Arild Staffan Möller (born 26 March 1955), known professionally as Ale Möller, is a Swedish musician and composer. He was born and grew up in Scania in southern Sweden and started in music as a jazz trumpeter. He lived for a while in Greece where he learned to play the bouzouki and played with composer Mikis Theodorakis.
