Tältprojektet
''Tältprojektet'' – ''The Tent Project'' ( Sweden, 1977) was a musical theater performance on the history of the Swedish working class, which toured the country the summer of 1977 in a huge circus tent. The group included over 100 people, musicians, actors, and members of some of the biggest progg bands of Sweden at the time, most notable Nationalteatern. The Tent Project was a radical, leftist political movement, but it included different political groups from anarchists to different types of communists and socialists. The story of the approximately four-hour play was on the history of the Swedish working class movement from 1879 to the present (1977), and the cast of characters included August Palm, Kata Dalström, Hjalmar Branting and Zeth Höglund. The central story telling character was ''the beggar'', played by Totta Näslund. Another major role was played by Sven Wollter who, as ''the clown'', was sort of the host of the show. Ulf Thorbjörn Dageby (born 10 May 1944) is a Swedish rock musician, singer and songwriter. Dageby is mostly known for his role in the leftist "rock orchestra" and theater ensemble Nationalteatern. At the 18th Guldbagge Awards he won the Special Achievement award. Sven Justus Fredrik Wollter (11 January 1934 – 10 November 2020) was a Swedish actor, writer, and political activist. Wollter is one of the most renowned Swedish actors, he was awarded Best Swedish actor twice. Sven Martin Henric Holmberg (born 4 January 1946) is a Swedish actor, director and scriptwriter. Erik Torsten "Totta" Näslund (1 April 1945 – 19 June 2005) was a Swedish blues musician and actor. Biography Näslund was born in Sandviken and grew up in the small northern town Köpmanholmen, but moved to Gothenburg in 1970 to find work. He was working in the Gothenburg docks when he joined Nynningen, a rock group with leftist political texts and inspired by the Russian Communist poet Mayakovsky. Totta Näslund became the group's main singer. In the mid-1970s, Nynningen fused with Nationalteatern, a musical theater ensemble with many members. Nikke Ström (born 8 June 1951) is a Swedish rock musician, mostly known as the bass player in Nationalteatern. Ström was born and raised in Karlskoga, where he played in different bands. In the beginning of 1970 he studied philosophy at Stockholm University. He had become politically active in the leftist movement against the Vietnam War, and he was chairman of the FNL group in his hometown Karlskoga. He was born and grew up in Scania in southern Sweden and started in music as a jazz trumpeter.
