Tân Việt Revolutionary Party
The New Vietnam Revolutionary Party or Revolutionary Party of the New Vietnam () 1925–1930, was a non-communist revolutionary party in Vietnam's early independence movement founded by Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai. History During the 1920s openly democratic patriotic movement in the French Indochina, on July 14, 1925, a number of students from Indochina Pedagogical College and a number of former political prisoners in Annam established Hội Phục Việt (''Vietnamese Restoration Association''). After being exposed after spreading leaflets asking the French authorities to release patriot Phan Bội Châu (November 1925). Hội Phục Việt changed its name several times and eventually changed to Tân Việt Revolutionary Party (July 1928). Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai
Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai (1 November 1910 – 28 August 1941) was a Vietnamese revolutionary and a leader of the Indochinese Communist Party during the 1930s. Early life and education Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai was born Nguyễn Thị Vịnh on 1 November 1910 in Vinh, Nghệ An province, Vietnam. Her father, Nguyễn Huy Bình, also known as Hàn Bình, was born in Hanoi. She had learnt French but, due to failing the civil service examinations, chose to work as a railway official in Vinh. Her mother, Đậu Thị Thư, was a petty shopkeeper from Đức Thọ, Hà Tĩnh province. Her father frequently permitted her to retain banned documents in an upstairs room at the train station. When Minh Khai grew more engaged in her revolutionary activities, her mother supported her financially on her frequent visits to different provinces. Keat Gin Ooi
Keat Gin Ooi (; born 10 October 1959) is a Malaysian academician, historian and educator of Chinese descent who is a professor at the Modern History of Brunei/Borneo in Universiti Brunei Darussalam's Academy of Brunei Studies. He is specialises in the following fields: women in history, Southeast Asian history, war and conflict, indigenous historical sources, underwater archaeology, underwater cultural heritage, modern history and historiography of Borneo, Brunei history, colonial urban history, Borneo in international history. This article describes the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) (from 1930 to 1945, the Indochinese Communist Party) from its origins in the 1920s through to the consolidation of its position as the ruling party of a united Socialist Republic Vietnam after 1976.
