Tácio Caetano Cruz Queiroz (born 7 August 1980), better known as just Tácio, is a former professional Football in Brazil, Brazilian footballer who played as defensive midfielder. In 1997, he was part of the Brazilian team that won the 1997 South American Under-17 Football Championship. Biography EC Vitória Born in Valença, Bahia, Tácio started his career at Esporte Clube Vitória, Vitória. He played the 1998 1998 Copa do Brasil's edition and the Campeonato Baiano of that same season. In June 1998, he signed with A.C. Venezia along with Marcone Amaral Costa, Marcone and Bilica. He played once in 1998–99 Coppa Italia, a 1–1 draw with Juventus F.C., Juventus. In January 1999, Tácio returned to Vitória, as his non-EU quota was transferred to newcomer Álvaro Recoba. 1997 South American Under-17 Football Championship
The 1997 South American Under-17 Football Championship was played in Paraguay from 28 February to 16 March 1997. The host of the competition were the cities of Asunción, Pedro Juan Caballero, Paraguay, Pedro Juan Caballero and Encarnación, Paraguay, Encarnación. Valença, Bahia
Valença is a Brazilian city in the state of Bahia and has an estimated population of 97,233. The Copa do Brasil 1998 was the 10th staging of the Copa do Brasil. The competition started on January 20, 1998, and concluded on May 30, 1998, with the second leg of the final, held at the Estádio do Morumbi in São Paulo, in which Palmeiras lifted the trophy for the first time with a 2–0 victory over Cruzeiro. Romário, of Flamengo, with 7 goals, was the competition's topscorer. Format The preliminary round was disputed by 20 clubs, while the first stage was disputed by 32 clubs, including the ones qualified from the preliminary stage. The competition was disputed in a knock-out format. In the preliminary stage and in the first round if the away team won the first leg with an advantage of at least two goals, the second leg was not played and the club automatically qualified to the next round.
