Tyrone Greenidge
Tyrone Greenidge (16 May 1965 – 19 November 1993) was a Barbadian cricketer. He played in one List A and five first-class matches for the Barbados cricket team in 1985/86 and 1986/87. He died of leukemia in 1993. The parishes of Barbados, parish of Saint James ("St. James") is an area located in the western central part of the country of Barbados. First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is of three or more days scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. The Barbados national cricket team is the national cricket team of Barbados, organised by the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA). Barbados is a member of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), which is a member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in its own right, and Barbadians play internationally for the West Indies cricket team. Leukemia ( also spelled leukaemia; pronounced ) is a group of blood cancers that usually begin in the bone marrow and produce high numbers of abnormal blood cells.
