Typhoon Over Nagasaki
''Typhoon Over Nagasaki'' (French: ''Typhon sur Nagasaki'') is a 1957 French-Japanese-West German romantic drama directed by Yves Ciampi and starring Danielle Darrieux, Jean Marais, Keiko Kishi and Gert Fröbe.Parish p.361 It was shot in Japan in Nagasaki, Hiroshima and Osaka. The film's sets were designed by the art directors Robert Gys and Kisaku Itô. Plot Pierre Marsac, a French engineer working at the Nagasaki shipbuilding yards is in love with a young local woman Noriko Sakurai. However, when he encounters a former lover, the journalist Françoise Fabre he drifts apart from Noriko. Tragedy strikes when a typhoon overwhelms the region. Kumeko Urabe (), born , (October 5, 1902 – October 26, 1989) was a Japanese movie actress, one of the first in Empire of Japan, the country. She worked on stage and in film and television. Urabe was born in a rural part of Shizuoka Prefecture. She lived in several homes while growing up, as she relocated with her father, a Buddhist priest, among the temples to which he was assigned. Urabe completed her education in Numazu, and left school in 1919 to join a theatre company, touring under various stage names as an actor and dancer. , sometimes credited as Satoshi Yamamura, was a Japanese actor and film director. Biography Yamamura was born Koga Hirosada in Tenri, Nara Prefecture, and graduated from the University of Tokyo. In 1942, Yamamura and Isao Yamagata formed the Bunkaza Theatre Company. He began his career as a screen actor in 1946 and appeared in over one hundred films between 1947 and 1997.
