Tylldalen is a village in Tynset Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The village is located in the southern part of the municipality, about south of the town of Tynset. Tylldalen Church is located in the village as well as a small primary school. The river Tysla runs through the village. Tylldalen Church
Tylldalen Church () is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Tynset Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the village of Tylldalen. It is the church for the Tylldalen parish which is part of the Nord-Østerdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Hamar. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1736 using plans drawn up by the architect Karl Brandvold. The church seats about 240 people. History The first church in Tylldalen was a wooden church, possibly a stave church, that was built during the 12th century. This church was located about northeast of the present church site. It was fairly quickly replaced by a new and larger church on the same site, perhaps in the first half of the 1200s. Around the year 1381, the church was torn down and replaced with a new building. Tronfjellet
Tron or Tronfjell is a prominent mountain in Innlandet county, Norway. The tall mountain lies on the border of Alvdal Municipality and Tynset Municipality, but the peak lies entirely in Alvdal Municipality. The mountain lies just to the northeast of the village of Alvdal and just northwest of the village of Tylldalen. There is a toll road to the summit that is open in the summers. The road was built while installing a broadcasting antenna in the 1960s, being Norway's second highest road. The Indian philosopher Swami Sri Ananda Acharya (1883-1945) lived on the mountain for large periods of his life. Eastern Norway (, ) is the geographical region of the south-eastern part of Norway. It consists of the counties Oslo, Akershus, Vestfold, Østfold, Buskerud, Telemark, and Innlandet. Innlandet is a Counties of Norway, county in Norway. It was created on 1 January 2020 with the merger of the old counties of Oppland and Hedmark (Jevnaker Municipality and Lunner Municipality were transferred to the neighboring county of Viken (Norwegian county), Viken on the same date). The new county has an area of , making it the largest county in Norway after the division of the old Troms og Finnmark county in 2024. The region was known as Opplandene or Opplanda since the middle ages.
