Tyler Taormina
Tyler Taormina (born 1990) is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer. He has directed '' Ham on Rye'' (2019), ''Happer's Comet'' (2022) and '' Christmas Eve in Miller's Point'' (2024). Taormina is also the co-founder of the filmmaking collective Omnes Films. Early life Taormina was born and raised in Long Island, New York. He attended Emerson College. Career Initially, Taormina wanted to make television projects for kids. While in college, Taormina co-founded the filmmaking collective Omnes Films alongside Carson Lund. In 2019, Taormina directed '' Ham on Rye'', which had its world premiere at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, and also screened at the Locarno Film Festival and Deauville American Film Festival. An eephus pitch (also spelled ephus) in baseball is a very high-arcing off-speed pitch. The delivery from the pitcher has very low velocity and often catches the hitter off-guard. The eephus pitch is thrown overhand like most pitches, but is characterized by an unusual, high-arcing trajectory. The corresponding slow velocity bears more resemblance to a slow-pitch softball delivery than to a traditional baseball pitch.
