Tyabb is a township and semi rural locality on the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, south-east of Melbourne's central business district, located within the Shire of Mornington Peninsula local government area. Tyabb recorded a population of 3,449 at the 2021 census. Tyabb is within an urban enclave on Western Port comprising Tyabb, Hastings, Bittern, Crib Point, and Somerville. It is served by the Tyabb railway station on the Stony Point railway line. Statistically it is part of Greater Melbourne. Tyabb Railway Station
Tyabb railway station is located on the Stony Point line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the town of Tyabb, and it opened on 10 September 1889. History Tyabb station opened on 10 September 1889, when the railway line from Baxter was extended to Hastings. Like the town itself, the station was named after an Indigenous word meaning 'waterholes' or 'mudhole'. Signals were once provided at the station, however they were abolished in 1947. In 1966, flashing light signals were provided at the Mornington–Tyabb Road level crossing, located nearby in the down direction of the station. On 22 June 1981, the passenger service between Frankston and Stony Point was withdrawn and replaced with a bus service. On 16 September 1984, promotional trips for the reopening of the line began and, on 27 September of that year, the passenger service was reinstated. Moorooduc is a rural township on the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, south-east of Melbourne's central business district, located within the Shire of Mornington Peninsula local government area. The Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League (abbreviated "MPNFL") is an Australian rules football competition, governed by the AFL South East. The MPNFL contains teams near the south eastern region of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. At the end of the 2017 season, the competition was restructured from a geographical to a divisional structure, with promotion/ relegation. The Mornington Peninsula is a peninsula located south of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is surrounded by Port Phillip to the west, Western Port to the east and Bass Strait to the south, and is connected to the mainland in the north. Geographically, the peninsula begins its protrusion from the mainland in the area between Pearcedale and an area north of Frankston.
