Two Tears
The Two Tears are an American garage rock band formed by Kerry Davis previously of the all-girl punk group Red Aunts. She also played drums in the Mick Collins fronted The Screws (In The Red Records). She also played in the short lived San Diego band Beehive and the Barracudas who released records on Swami Records. Two Tears was originally conceived as a one woman band. Eventually the project included a live drummer. She has lived and recorded music in Los Angeles, Dubai, Paris, and New York City (where she currently lives). She spent much of 2011 touring the US and Europe with Dan Sartain. In The Red Records
In the Red Records is an independent record label in Los Angeles, California, formed in 1991 by Larry Hardy. It is known for hosting garage rock related bands. The label's first release was by The Morlocks, and its second release was Kings of Rock. Hardy has publicly stated that he wished he would have waited for Mick Collins' The Gories material to be finished for the first release. However the Gories recording was slow going and Larry became impatient, rushing the two initial releases into production. Dan Sartain
Daniel Fredrick Sartain (August 13, 1981 – March 20, 2021) was an American musician. His music encompasses a variety of genres, including rockabilly, punk rock and the blues. Biography Sartain grew up in Fairfield, Alabama, and later settled in Birmingham. In 2001, Sartain's released his first self-produced album, ''Crimson Guard.'' The next year, he self-produced and released ''Romance in Stereo,'' through an independent record label. In 2005 Sartain released ''Dan Sartain vs. the Serpientes'', his first commercially available studio album, through the San Diego, California-based Swami Records. This was followed by ''Join Dan Sartain'' in 2006. In 2007, he toured as an opening act for The White Stripes and The Hives. One-man Band
A one-man band is a musician who plays a number of instruments simultaneously using their hands, feet, limbs, and various mechanical or electronic contraptions. One-man bands also often sing while they perform. The simplest type of "one-man band" is a singer accompanying themselves on acoustic guitar and playing a harmonica mounted in a metal "harp rack" below the mouth. This approach is often taken by buskers and folk music singer-guitarists. Mick Collins
Mick Collins (born December 18, 1965) is a musician from Detroit, Detroit, Michigan. Biography Collins first received exposure to early rock and roll music through his family's record collection. Living in Detroit, he was also surrounded by the music released from Motown Records. This also provided an influence to his musical evolution. Collins first played in a band called the U-Boats in 1981 and then in the Floor Tasters from 1984 to 1985. In 1986, the 20-year-old Collins helped form the Garage punk (fusion genre), garage punk band, The Gories. The band featured Collins on guitar, Dan Kroha (later of the Demolition Doll Rods) on guitar, and Peg O'Neil on the drums. After three albums and five singles the band broke up after a 1992 European tour. Collins next worked in a garage rock band, Blacktop, from 1994 to 1996. Red Aunts
The Red Aunts were an American all-female punk band that formed in 1991 in Long Beach, California, United States, when Terri Wahl (a.k.a. Angel, or Louise Lee Outlaw) recruited friends Kerry Davis (a.k.a. Sapphire, or Taffy Davis) and Debi Martini (a.k.a. E.Z. Wider, a.k.a. Connie Champagne, or Debbi Dip). Wahl would become the guitarist, sharing vocal duties with Davis who also played rhythm guitar and Martini as bassist. Wahl's ex-husband, Jon Wahl of the band Claw Hammer, stood in as drummer under the alias Joan Whale until he was replaced full-time by Lesley Ishino (a.k.a.
