Two Rivers Mall
Two Rivers Mall is a shopping centre located in Nairobi, Kenya. With 67,000 sqm of gross lettable area, it is the largest shopping mall in sub-Saharan Africa outside of South Africa. History The building is managed by Athena Properties Limited. It opened on 14 February 2017 to the public, with Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta cutting the ribbon to symbolise the official opening of the mall on 17 February 2017. Its key shareholding was acquired by Chinese investors with the aim of tapping into Nairobi's growing international status as an aviation hub and a center for commercial enterprise. In 2022, the mall unveiled the largest cinema screen in East and Central Africa. Runda
Runda is an affluent neighbourhood located in the northern part of Nairobi. The name Runda was borrowed from the name of the coffee estate that existed in the area before it became a residential area; it is an abbreviation for Reserved United Nations Development Area. The coffee estate was owned by Runda Estates Ltd. Runda is one of the suburbs of the city of Nairobi, the capital and largest city in Kenya. It is generally regarded as one of the richest suburbs in Kenya. Overview It is bounded by Limuru Road to the west, Ruaka Road to the south, Kiambu Road to the east, and coffee plantations to the north. Uhuru Kenyatta
Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta (born 26 October 1961) is a Kenyan politician who served as the fourth president of Kenya from 2013 to 2022. Kenyatta was chosen by Daniel Arap Moi as his preferred successor, but Kenyatta was defeated by opposition leader Mwai Kibaki in the 2002 election and Kibaki replaced Moi as president. Kenyatta served as the member of parliament (MP) for Gatundu South from 2002 to 2013. He also served as Deputy Prime Minister to Raila Odinga from 2008 to 2013. A Ferris wheel (also called a Giant Wheel or an observation wheel) is an amusement ride consisting of a rotating upright wheel with multiple passenger-carrying components (commonly referred to as passenger cars, cabins, tubs, gondolas, capsules, or pods) attached to the rim in such a way that as the wheel turns, they are kept upright, usually by gravity.
