Twista
Carl Terrell Mitchell (born November 27, 1973), better known by his stage name Twista (also known as Tung Twista), is an American rapper. He is best known for his Chopper (rap), chopper style of rapping and for once holding the title of fastest English-speaking rapper in the world according to Guinness World Records in 1992, being able to pronounce 598 syllables in 55 seconds. In 1997, after appearing on Do or Die (group), Do or Die's hit single "Po Pimp", produced by the Legendary Traxster, Twista signed with Big Beat Records (American record label), Big Beat and Atlantic Records, where he released his third album ''Adrenaline Rush (album), Adrenaline Rush'' and formed the group Speedknot Mobstaz, in 1998. Samuel Lindley (born July 14, 1973), better known by his stage name The Legendary Traxster, is an American songwriter, rapper and record producer. He is best known as a producer for hip hop artist Twista and group Do or Die. Lindley is the owner of Traxster Inc. and co-CEO of CWAL Records. In 2017, he launched Nothing But Dope, an imprint distributed through Priority Records. He is also one half of the hip hop duo ''House Lindley'', which is composed of him and his wife Latia "Tia London" Lindley. ''Adrenaline Rush'' is the third studio album by Chicago rapper Twista, released on June 24, 1997. It was his second album nationally released, after his previous effort ''Resurrection'' was shelved outside of Chicago. The album had guest artists: Johnny P, Liffy Stokes, Miss Kane, Malif, Mayz and Turtle Banks. The first single off the album was "Emotions", a song which reworked the chorus of the Do or Die hit " Po Pimp" (on which Twista was featured). Chopper (rap)
Chopper is a hip hop music subgenre that originated in the Midwestern United States and features fast-paced rhyming or rapping. Those that rap in the style are known as choppers, and rapping in the style is sometimes referred to as chopping. The style is one of the major forms of Midwest hip hop, though by the early 2000s, it had spread to other parts of the United States including California and New York City, and it has spread around the world since. Chopper style places an emphasis on speed of pronunciation, and as such is commonly attributed to some of the fastest professional rappers, such as Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Mac Lethal, Twista, Big L, Tech N9ne, Twisted Insane, Busta Rhymes, Rebel XD, Krizz Kaliko, George Watsky, Jaz-O, Crucified830 and Eminem.
