Twickenham College Of Technology
Richmond upon Thames College is a large college of further and higher education located on a single site in Twickenham. It provides education and training to 16- to 18-year-olds and adults from across the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and further afield. The college offers a range of academic and technical vocational qualifications, including A Levels, technical vocational qualifications, higher education courses and apprenticeships. Since 2023, the college is part of a newly merged group with Harrow College and Uxbridge College. History The college was formed in 1977 by a merger of the sixth form colleges from Shene School and Thames Valley School with the former Twickenham College of Technology on its site. Richmond and Hillcroft Adult Community College is a further education college located in Richmond and Surbiton in Greater London. It was established in 2017 by a merger between Richmond Adult Community College and the specialist Hillcroft College. History The college's Richmond campus traces its roots to the 19th century as a technical institute. In the latter part of the 19th century, there was no reasonable secondary education in Barnes and Richmond for miles around, except for those who could afford private tuition or send their children many miles to school. James Cripps
James Cripps is an artist and musician from Kensal Rise, London. He studied at Richmond upon Thames College. His 2009 art exhibition was with other young artists who went by the group name of 'Anklebiter'. The show received with acclaim, the center piece of his work being an abstract version of Bouguereau's '' The First Mourning''. Jennifer Helen Brister (born 9 February 1975) is a British stand-up comedian, writer and actress from London. Life and career Early life Brister was born in Kingston upon Thames, Greater London, in 1975 to a British father and a Spanish mother. She has three brothers. Brister was raised as a Catholic and went to all girls' Ursuline High School, Wimbledon. She then went on to Richmond College. Her Spanish-born mother is a frequent target of her comedy shows. Fulwell is a neighbourhood of outer West London in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It straddles the west of the "ancient" parish and urban district borders of Twickenham and Teddington. The area is not a postal district. There are two busy crossroads in the area: Hospital Bridge Road and Sixth Cross Road meet where they cross Staines Road (Twickenham), and where Sixth Cross Road, Hampton Road, South Road and Wellington Road all meet.
