Jason Tutt (born 15 May 1991) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Western Bulldogs and Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Originally from Canberra he played his junior football for Ainslie, Tutt was recruited to the Australian Football League by the Western Bulldogs with the number 31 draft pick in the 2009 AFL Draft. He made his AFL debut in Round 22, 2011 against Port Adelaide Football Club and kicked three goals with his first three kicks. Tutt spent five seasons at the Bulldogs, playing 26 senior games in that time. He won Victorian Football League premiership with the Footscray reserves in 2014 while at the club. Tutt resigned from the Bulldogs at the end of the 2014 season, after arranging a move to the Carlton Football Club from 2015. Ronald Ellis Tutt (March 12, 1938 – October 16, 2021) was an American drummer who played concerts and recording sessions for Elvis Presley, the Carpenters, Roy Orbison, Neil Diamond, and Jerry Garcia. Early life Born in Dallas, Texas, United States, Tutt was a native Texan and was involved with music and performing arts for most of his childhood. He played the guitar, violin and trumpet, and didn't take up the drums until he was seventeen. In an early gig, he appeared on the same bill as a then little-known Elvis Presley. William Thayer Tutt (March 2, 1912 in Coronado, California – February 24, 1989 at El Paso) was an executive for several ice hockey leagues and organizations. He is the son of Charles L. Tutt, Jr., and has two brothers, Charles L. Tutt, III and Russel Thayer Tutt, and one sister. William married Margaret Bradford Timmons (February 13, 1909 – June 2, 1988 at Colorado Springs) on November 4, 1932. Later he married former figure skating champion Yvonne Sherman. Tutt was instrumental in bringing the first NCAA men's ice hockey championships to the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He also helped bring the Soviet Union's ice hockey team to the United States for the first time in 1959. From 1966 to 1969, he was president of the International Ice Hockey Federation. River Tutt
The River Tutt is a long tributary of the River Ure in North Yorkshire, England. The river rises near to the villages of Nidd and Scotton draining mainly arable land north eastwards before emptying into the Ure at Boroughbridge. Where the river joins the Ure in Boroughbridge, has been the site of significant historic flooding. An Environment Agency project to alleviate flooding on the river has seen diversion schemes and pumps added to prevent this. Toponymy The river is known as the Tutt for only about of its length, and is variously known as Jumwell, Shaw and Occaney Beck in its early stages. It is also known as Tutt Beck, Fleet Beck and Minskip Beck. A tropical upper tropospheric trough (TUTT), also known as the mid-oceanic trough, is a trough situated in the upper-level (at about 200 hPa) tropics. Its formation is usually caused by the intrusion of energy and wind from the mid-latitudes into the tropics. It can also develop from the inverted trough adjacent to an upper level anticyclone. TUTTs are different from mid-latitude troughs in the sense that they are maintained by subsidence warming near the tropopause which balances radiational cooling. When strong, they can present a significant vertical wind shear to the tropics and subdue tropical cyclogenesis. When upper cold lows break off from their base, they tend to retrograde and force the development of, or enhance, surface troughs and tropical waves to their east. Salem Tutt Whitney ( Salem Tutt; 15 November 1875 – 12 February 1934) and J. Homer Tutt ( Jacob Homer Tutt; 31 January 1882 – 10 February 1951), known collectively as the Tutt Brothers, were American vaudeville producers, writers, and performers of the late 19th and early 20th century. They were also known as Whitney & Tutt, Tutt & Whitney and the Whitney Brothers. They were prominent in black vaudeville and created over forty revues for black audiences. Biography Salem Tutt Whitney was born in Logansport, Indiana (birth-year varies: 1869, 1875, 1876, or 1878), as was his brother J. Homer Tutt.
