Tusker Project Fame
''Tusker Project Fame'' is an East African reality-singing competition show sponsored by Tusker (beer), Tusker Lager. The show is similar to American Idol and Project Fame South Africa, musicians compete to win cash and a one-year record deal with Universal Music Group South Africa. Tusker Project Fame has aired 5 seasons. To be eligible to participate, one must be at least 21 years of age and must be able to sing and perform or sing and play and instrument. Controversy Past Tusker Project Fame winners have criticized the show organizers for not living up to their promises, stating that the Tusker Company makes a huge profit, but fails to support its winners in after the season is over. Joey Muthengi
Joey Muthengi is a media personality and actress. Her entry into the Kenyan media industry came through being a radio personality on 98.4 Capital FM from 2009 to 2013 where she hosted and produced the wildly popular youth show, Hits Not Homework. From 2016 to 2018, Joey Muthengi co-hosted the Power Breakfast show on Citizen TV with Fred Indimuli and Willis Raburu. Alpha Rwirangira (born 25 May 1986) is a Rwandan singer/song writer. He sings world music, reggae, soul R&B, and dance music all in English, Swahili and Kinyarwanda. Music It was after Rwirangira won the East Africa Tusker Project Fame that his professional music career began. This lead him to record and collaborate with Tanzanian A.Y. on a song called ''Songa Mbele'', and Bebe Cool, on ''Come To Me'' song. After the release of the song, rumors began to circulate that Rwirangira "is not a true Rwandan", because he's cousin to A.Y. After winning Tusker Project Fame, Alpha started touring all over East Africa.
