Turksploitation
Turksploitation (a portmanteau of "Turkey" and "exploitation") is a tongue-in-cheek label given to a great number of Turkish low-budget exploitation films that are either remakes of, or use unauthorized footage from, popular foreign films (particularly Hollywood movies) and television series, produced mainly in the 1970s and 1980s. ''Der Spiegel'' labeled these films the "most sympathetic and anarchical subgenre of exploitation film". Filmed on a shoestring budget with often comically simple special effects and no regard for copyright, Turksploitation films substituted exuberant inventiveness and zany plots for technical and acting skill, although noted Turkish actors did feature in some of these productions. The original soundtracks of the original film or of other Hollywood films were often reused. ' (''Üç Dev Adam''; translated as ''3 Giant Men'' and sometimes referred to as ''Captain America And Santo Vs. Spider-Man'') is a 1973 Turkish superhero film directed by T. Fikret Uçak and written by Doğan Tamer, based on characters created by Steve Ditko, Jack Kirby, Stan Lee, Joe Simon and Rodolfo Guzmán Huerta, featuring Aytekin Akkaya as Captain America and Yavuz Selekman as El Santo. Captain America and El Santo are called to Istanbul on a special mission to stop the villainous Spider-Man and the rest of his vicious heinous criminal gang. The Turksploitation film, which went on nationwide general release across the country on , was completely unauthorized by the copyright owners of the characters depicted. ''Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam'' (English: ''The Man Who Saves The World'') is a 1982 Turkish science fantasy martial arts superhero adventure film directed by Çetin İnanç, and starring actor/martial artist Cüneyt Arkın. It was first released in November 1982 by Anıt Ticaret in Turkey, and later in 2005 by BijouFlix Releasing in the United States. The film is popularly known abroad as ''Turkish Star Wars'', due to its notorious unauthorized use of footage, music and sound effects from ''Star Wars'' and other science fiction films. The film, part of a wave of Turksploitation superhero films produced during the 1970s to early 1980s, combines science fiction themes with martial arts fantasy action, having more in common with 1970s Hong Kong martial arts films from Golden Harvest than with ''Star Wars''. Zeynep Değirmencioğlu (born 12 September 1954) is a Turkish people, Turkish actress. Biography She was born in Istanbul in 1954. She made her first appearance as a one-year-old baby in "''Papatya''" and established herself as a childstar with appearances in films like "''Duvaklı Göl''" and "''Fırtına''". In 1960 she acted in "''Ayşecik''". The persona of ''Ayşecik'', a sweet, naive girl became her signature role.
