Turgay Demirel
Turgay Demirel (born 2 May 1957) is a Turkish basketball executive and former basketball player, who is the president of FIBA Europe, a vice-president of FIBA and the former president of the Turkish Basketball Federation. Early years Demirel was born in Istanbul in 1957. He graduated from the German High School in Istanbul and studied engineering at Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara.Cemal A. 2006 FIBA World Championship
The 2006 FIBA World Championship was the 15th FIBA World Championship, the international basketball world championship for men's national teams. The tournament was hosted by Japan and held from 19 August to 3 September 2006. It was co-organised by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), Japan Basketball Association (JABBA) and the 2006 Organising Committee.
